College? (4) Chloe Reese
college is a big deal to many people, including me. Getting into the right college can affect my whole future. But first I have to graduate high school. Graduating is a part of what will help me get into the college I want. Taking the right classes and having the right grades is also an important part in getting into college. Doing all these things will also increase chances of getting scholarships. Scholarships are a whole other important part. I want to get a scholarship to help me pay for college. Let's face it college is expensive and every little bit will help. But the dream is getting a full ride to the college I want to go to. So when I have all the things in high school I need to get a scholarship, next comes the trouble of picking the colleges. There are so many different colleges out there to choose from. There are also many factors that affect what college I choose. To start, the location is a big deal. "Do I want to stay close to home?", " do I want to move out of state or far away?", " if so, how far away?". These questions start to affect my options hugely. There is also the factor of what colleges offer what I need to get the career I want in the future. This a huge factor in choosing a college. What is another huge factor that I need to know in high school is , what GPA. ACT score, and grades each college expects. This will change which colleges I want and am able to go to. Then then the last factor I will it leave out is cost. Cost will change which colleges scholarships will cover and how much I will have to pay. For example, if one college cost more than another, but they both offer me the same education then I will pick the cheaper one. So, in the end college is a big decision and there are many factors that will affect my choices along the way.
I completely agree with everything you have said here. There really are so many things that factor in to where you go to college. There's money, family, travel, grades, scholarships. College really is a huge important decision that defines a huge part of your life. But in my opinion on this, I think you are gonna do just fine in life and go to a great college. I think your blog really makes people think about where they wanna go in life, and what all they want to accomplish. I know you really made me question where I want to be at in the next few years!! great job!

I agree completely, Chloe! There are so many decisions to be made and things to consider when choosing a college to go to. I think I have my heart set on either Florida State or Belmont in Nashville because they're both not too far from home and I love these cities. Although, like you said, I still have to think about the money and other factors in picking a college. Hopefully we will all get the grades and scholarships and all other things necessary to go to the college of our choice! Good work :-)

I completely agree with everything you just said, you made some really good points. There are so many decisions to make, and it's very stressful. Choosing whether you want to stay close to home or not is a very hard decision. Worrying about getting a good score on the ACT also puts pressure on the decision making progress. Also, another thing is different colleges offer different majors so, if you get your heart set on a particular school, and they don't offer what you want is a bummer. There is just so many things to worry about because of how many decisions you have to make. -Ambria Curtis
