Hi, everyone. This is only my second blog post of the summer. Last time I blogged, I had just finished the book called "Love,Stargirl." (I would italicize that if I could.) Recently, I just returned home from Fayetteville where my sister goes to college at the University of Arkansas. While I was there, I finally went to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Earlier this month, I attended an ACT Camp at Lyon College, and it was very interesting. Ironically, It was intended to be an "Outdoor" ACT Camp, but it rained two out of the three days I was there. So, instead of running around sweating in the hot sun like we were supposed to, we sat inside watching Moana and Beauty and the Beast while the rain poured. I did not complain. I was going to write while I was there, but I was scatterbrained most of the time and when I sat down I slept. The depressing weather and three hour lectures morning and night did not help this. In fact, I was late to all my lectures because my roommate and I valued sleep. I have finished two books, "Cage of Stars," and "The Beautiful and Damned." (I would also italicizes that if I could.) Hopefully, you people won't judge me for my horrendous grammar and english, so just know all book titles I say are meant to be italicizes. I still have no job because I'm still not 16, but I am going to attend a Nurse Camp at NEA Baptist Hospital next week. I'm super excited, but I'm not even for sure if being a nurse is right for me. I've been told to check out the career of an Art Therapist because it would combine my love of helping people and art. However, being a nurse would mean that I would help people too, so we'll see how this camp goes. Back to the present, I don't plan on staying home all day till Nurse Camp starts, so I'm planning to volunteer somewhere. The next book I plan to read is "The Origin of Species" by Charles Darwin. Also, if any of you have any book suggestions please comment below. I hope you all are humoring yourself with my boring blogs about my summer.

ReplyDeleteHey Abby! Was the book “Love, Stargirl” a good book? What was the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art like? I bet you seen a ton of wonderful things! Would you recommend going to the ACT Camp at Lyon College? Were the lectures interesting or really boring? I bet by the the camp was over you were exhausted! What are some good books that you recommend reading? I still don’t have a job either, but that’s a complete different story from yours. I hope that you figure out what is right for you career wise! I think you should look into the career of being an Art Therapist! You’re really talented!

Hey abs, it's Cara . This is my 6th comment . I came all the way back to your blog because no one has really been posting anything. I hope you're having a great time in Fayetteville! I honestly have never been. I think it's great you're taking your time out of summer to read books! I haven't read any yet and I don't think I will. That sounds kinda bad but oh well. I don't have a job either and I am sixteen so don't worry about it . It's kinda hard to find a job . Especially close to home . Nursing camp was super fun! It's was fun putting a cast on you . Especially winning awards . I still haven't used my Chick-fil-A card. I'm sure this is 100 words so bye:)
ReplyDeleteHey Abby, It's Carson! I think this is my fourth comment... I'm a little behind. It sounds like you e had a really busy summer! I haven't seen you in a while. If you ever need someone to attend these activities with you, I'm you're girl;) I want to be a nurse as well. I think a nursing camp would be good for me so I should look into some of those haha. We should do that two week one next year together!! I hope you're having a good summer. Maybe a trip to Fay together soon!
ReplyDeleteHey abs it mal and this is either my 3rd or 4th comment lol....oops. I'm soooo mad I missed that nursing camp. I would love to be a burden, ever find another camp let me know and I'll defiantly go with you! My whole family is in lord in the medical field some how, so I'd live to follow in the foot steps, not to mention I like to help people.. (believe it or not)
ReplyDeleteHey Abby, this is Chan. I actually read “Love, Stargirl” in the 7th grade and I enjoyed it tremendously. In my opinion, the first installment in the series was better than the sequel but both books were very compelling and insightful reads. I have not read much over the summer but I have written a bunch in my journal I got from Earthbound earlier this summer. I haven't traveled much this summer. I have gone to St. Louis once to go to Six Flags. It wasn't as enjoyable as one who has never been might think. I went to the beach and that was as fun as anything else I've experienced. I don't really know where this comment is going, I'm just trying to get 8 more comments today.

Hey Abby It's Tatum! Just wanted to say that I hope you've had a great summer! I hope you also had a great time in Fayetteville and it's absolutely wonderful that you've been reading books! Books are good, I honestly wish that I could take more time to read some to pass the time. But usually I don't since I'm very picky with books and genre. I usually look for a good plot and character development. I wonder what genre of books you look for while choosing a book. That'd be interesting. Anyways I hope things are going okay! - Tatum T
