Ladies and gents, welcome to my "blog". I have been trying to write this all week but I have not found my motivation. It might be under the pile of clothes in my closet but I will let you know when I have found it. I liked that quote up there, kind of hit home for me with this assignment since I've been looking at it all week but never started to actually write it. Everyone seems to be talking about their summers so far, so I will fill you in on mine.
My summer has been very chill, I haven't done anything too exciting. I've been attempting to learn guitar not going as well as I would like but progress is progress, right? I've also been pet sitting for a couple people. I mean I get paid to hang out with animals, like who wouldn't love that? I've also been watching way too much Disney + thanks to my lovely nephews who just have to watch Moana four times a day. I've been baking a lot to help destress but my family isn't thrilled with all the cakes and stuff around (If you want any cake let me know!) Always seem to have some family from out of town come to stay which is great but I like quiet and with my family that is very scarce. Okay, I am done rambling about my loud house and chill start to the summer now, you're welcome.
I have some questions for you guys to maybe answer for me. If you would I would tolerate you forever. I can't say I would love you forever since that is a big commitment and I can't seem to cut my hair without overthinking it. I will just have to tolerate you if that is cool with you guys. The first question/ statement I don't really know what it is, I need some music recommendations if you don't mind. Going on road trips I would like to expand my music genre. I don't think Jon's 80's music will work though not a huge fan of it (don't come after me please, thanks.) My second actual question- is summer bucket lists a thing still? I've had one every year but I have no clue if those are a thing anymore. And my last question is how do you guys come up with topics to write about? I feel like my word vomiting and making no sense so please let me know.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad I wasn't the only one struggling to decide what to write about. This whole blog is more challenging than I thought it would be. I feel like I'm just rambling on and on without making any sense.
I have also been spending lots of time with my nephew. With his newest obsession of minecraft, that is all we do. Play and watch videos about it. I’s crazy when he gets going on something he never stops. However he has recently found the game among us a little to late. He has made me play it for the past 2 days.
Please make sure to put your name in your comments. --Mrs. Larkin
DeleteDang, my writing compared to yours is pretty wild. You have a quote, you referenced what I wrote, you actually made your post relatable, and you asked for a question as well. For real though, if you're looking for music recommendations, I would be happy to help you out. If 80's aren't your thing then go from that idea, and by that I mean go forward or backwards with it. Try 70's or 90's music and see if you like that. Next, I'm doing a summers bucket list, so I guess they aren't too out of fashion. Anyways, I liked your essay.

DeleteHey Hailey, I loved the quote you put at the beginning, it makes your post even cooler. I learned that taking your time and slowly learning is the best way to go. When I first got my guitar, I actually broke the E string, and it cut my finger. I was terrified to pick it up (I didn’t want to break it). Now I would be lying if I said that I am playing it now. I haven’t touched it since I broke the E string last time. I, however, am slowly working my way back. I recommend trying youtube videos and just slowly learning a new chord each day. That’s what I did for my keyboard. Hope your summer is going well! 6/11-Alexis Roberson
