1st week of summer-1/11-Zoey McGowan
Here we go, my very first blog post. Now let me tell you, I have never really been a fan of blogs. Just talking about yourself and putting it out there has never been enjoyable to me. I’m actually a pretty private person and just opening up is not my any means my thing at all. Much less to a bunch of people I will soon once again have to see everyday. I was and still kind of clueless about what I’m going to write here. I mean I’ve been sitting here for days and days pondering over what I was going to write about. There is no way I can get 350 words out about sitting on the couch binge watching tv literally every day. I mean I have nothing else to do, no place I need to be. I honestly think I’m cursed to wake up early. It does not matter what time I go to bed, it’s always early. I’m literally writing this at 8 am Like how does someone get up at noon and still go to bed at night. I mean this summer is not off to a bad start, just not as action packed as some of yours might be. I have my nephew here, which is a whirlwind itself of playing then watching tv then playing again. Now don’t get me wrong, I love him but sometimes it’s a lot.
My mom thought I could talk about making a summer bucket list. Let me tell you, not my thing. First off, having a sit down and literally coming up with things that I know good and well I’m not going to do. Second, I’ll just be upset with myself if I don’t get things done. So while it may be a good idea for some people, it’s just not the right fit for me.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed me rambling for a good 10 minutes. If you actually read this is a mystery to me that will never be solved. Anyways, I hope to have more exciting things to tell in the future. :)
P.S: I’m not gonna leave you a question to answer, because I wouldn’t answer them either

Here we go- Hailey H
the beginning of summer 21' 1/11-emily fitzgerald
This summer has already been so great! It's already been so weird compared with other summers I've lived through. I started the summer by getting my first dose of the new Covid Vaccine. I didn't have many symptoms on either of my shots and I'm so happy I didn't have many of them. It makes me feel like I did something good for my body and it also gives me hope for the future with the well-known covid-19 virus. It makes me feel like eventually, we won't have to wear masks anymore & coronavirus can soon be gone! I've already taken some lake trips that have already been so fun. I'm going this coming weekend too because of my nieces' pageant. Memorial Day weekend was a cold trip though. We decided to go ahead and rent a boat on that Saturday, but the weather had other plans. We got up Saturday at our camper and it was so cold compared to all of the summer hot days surrounding the day. It was like 50 degrees that day & the wind was blowing, so that made the cold even worse. This summer feels just like the recent school year for me because I did not go to school this year, so it's pretty much the same on the days. The only difference is the weather pretty much. I've always enjoyed sleeping in, waking up drinking a good cup of coffee, watching my daily Netflix, and halfway eating healthy (haha, don't judge). I've been writing a blog of my own an enjoyable thing to start. It keeps me going and I hope it helps with me writing different kinds and types of essays this year and for my college career. I understand that it sounds completely insane that I enjoy writing for my good, but I believe that it will end up helping me in my college career, and that's something that I've been trying to help since the 7th grade. I cannot wait for this summer, I just have a feeling that it is going to one of the best because my family and I already have so many trips we are going to do this upcoming summer. I hope yall have been having a great start of the summer too!:)

1st week of summer 1/11 -Raven Horton
This summer is unlike most. Usually I would sit around mostly sleep, but this year my summer will mostly consist of sports such as cheer and sofball . This week was really the only "off" week I will have all summer and still I had softball practice. When I'm not doing sports I want to spend as much time I can with family. Last weekend my parents went on vacation so I got to spend time with my cousins, who I normally just see on holidays. Monday was a holiday so we went to my palpals, grilled out, and fished. Tuesday I went and hung out with friends. Wednesday I went to the library in the park with my bonus mom and siblings. Then I went to Wal-Mart with a couple friends and played hide n seek. Thursday I went to Jonesboro with my family and went shopping, you know we had to stop and get us some chick fil a. Friday I had softball practice, and when I woke up right before practice so I did not get food or water I just went straight there. That was a very bad decision because the whole time I felt like I was going to fall out, so I came home and went to sleep. Saturday me and my family went to the water park in manila and met up with my aunts and cousins. We spent all day there, until we went to the park to dry off. Then we ended the day wth sonic and a movie. This week I was pretty active and that's only going to imcrease. My goal for this summer is to kinda just YOLO it, to just live life to the fullest, to become closer with friends and family, to do better academically and atheltically. Most off my off time I will spend time with my mom, so its impossible to just chill.

How's it hanging? - Jon C.
Let me just start off by saying that my summer is off to a great start. I forgot how good it feels to sleep-in on weekdays and have minimal chores. So far, my mom has got me doing and hour of shoveling out in the front yard so we can get the garden set up. You may think that I would describe the work as grueling, but it's actually kind of nice. I just pick up a shovel, turn on some 80's music, and get to work, same as the rest of my chores. Speaking of chores, do you know how big this house is? There is so much to do, and I don't even know how my mom did all of this by herself when I was just a kid. Anyways, all this freedom is starting to get to me. I so used to having things to do, that I don't really know what to do anymore. I am exaggerating just a bit though, there really isn't that much to do. I'm going to need your help. In the comments below, I want you to vote on something, something that will help me wile the time away during this summer. It's come down to the decision of making a video game, or make a must be completed summer list. With the video game, I can take suggestions as to what to make and give you updates on how it's going. With the summer list, you can help me choose things to put on it, and even help me decide a punishment if I can't complete it by the time summer ends. Either way, I'm leaving this decision up to you. Sorry for rambling there, I got pretty focused on the vote. So what are you guys doing for the summer? The only thing that I've got going for me is what ever you guys decide in the vote. I guess that's all I have to say for now, I'll let you guys know which activity won the vote in the nest blog post. I hope to hear what you guys are doing this summer.

Summer Begins - Caiden Hinkle - 1/11
As summer has officially started, I realized that I really don't have anything to do. Of course, it would be good just to sit and play video games all the time. I remembered that when I was younger, I was given a schedule to for for every single day of the summer (excluding weekends). I decided that for my benefit, I would make myself a schedule that kept me focusing on more important things other than video games, while still giving me time to play them as well. My days are usually about 14 hours long, the other 10 consisting of a good sleep. I would usually play video games for that whole time, which is no wonder as to why I grew to be bigger than most. Knowing that my dad goes to the gym on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I decided to make that a part of my schedule for as soon as I wake up. The other two days of the week took those out and replaced it with eating breakfast and playing video games. That took up a time slot from 7:20 - 9:30 AM. From then until 11 AM, I would wash up from the gym and then play video games. From 11 to 12 PM, I would take time until June 12 to study for the ACT (I would stop because June 12 I am taking it). Then, I wanted to start spending more time with my family. From 12 - 1 PM, while my mom was still at work, I chose to watch some type of show and eat lunch with my dad (My lunch usually being a salad of some sort). Then I would hop back on games until 3 PM, giving me 2 hours to play. From 3 - 4 PM, I take a break to do anything such as this summer project, but also to write music or read (I do not like to read). Then, I relax for the rest of the day unless I have something for church, like I do on Tuesdays. Overall, I am hoping to lose some weight and still have lots of fun during the summer.
