part two- sydney adams 22
i don't even appreciate the many adventures I go on because I am constantly facing a crippling sensation that I could be doing something more. that I could be thinking deeper or living wilder, anything but what I actually am doing. though there's clearly some psychological mishap going on upstairs I feel that social media in part is to blame. we spend our days drooling over perfectly timed and extremely planned photos of insane adventures that make us feel as if the lives we lead are some how lesser. that what we're spending our days doing isn't good enough and when I think about it it sounds silly because it's just a photo and those people are no better than I. yet I make myself miserable for not taking more chances or griping about my location, the opportunities presented to me or the lack there of. it makes me excessively pessimistic which in turn makes me into an unhappy person that I don't like. I don't believe the feeling will ever fade until I realize that everything seems better to onlookers. and yeah many people will go on many explorations and escapades but that in no way makes my life an ill lived one.
a life well lived? (part one) sydney adams 21
I feel like I am wasting my life and it just makes me want to cry
I have an overwhelming fear that I'm going to have nothing to show for my life, no stories to tell, no evidence that I even lived. I want to leave something behind. be someone worth remembering.
I stress about few things but every day my stomach is knotted and I am in a frenzy about living my life to the fullest.
I feel as if I have to cram as much as possible into this day and basically drain myself because that's what constitutes as a full life right?
and then on days when I just lay around with friends (the days that I make the most memories and experience the hardest laughs and the deepest love) I get bogged down and discouraged because I have this voice in my head telling me I'm wasting my life and that other people my age are changing the world or traveling or something amazing and I'm just laying around.

Job(22!!) Chloe Reese
This is my last post so I decided to just write about what came to my mind, so the first thought I had was , what do I want to do when I get older?. Well I have thought about this a lot . I have thought about my job when I get older ever since I was in elementary. At first I wanted to be a teacher. I wanted to have my own class, teach and work with children, and plan fun field trips. I think i.e. Antes to do this because I loved school and all my teachers. But hen as I got a little older I thought about being a dentist. I thought it would be cool to work on people's mouth and tell them they needed to brush more! But then as I got a little older I thought " work with people's mouth, eww!" I guess I had wanted to become a dentist because I actually liked the dentist. I looked forward to going to the dentist and playing in the waiting area. But now that I am much older I have really thought about being a nurse. I didn't know what kind of nurse I wanted to be at first. So I had to look into a job for many classes and started searching in the neonatal range. I think I got there because I used to Kiev watching the Little Couple and the mom worked in the NICU. I new that I wanted to work some where with children, but babies was a plus. But, as I started to research about what a neonatal nurse does and what her day looked like, I started to change my mind. I didn't think I could work with that sick of babies everyday, even though I did want to help them. So I still wanted to work with babies, and I'm now thinking about being a labor and delivery nurse. I think I would love bringing life into this world and taking care of the mothers through this time. So as of right now that's what I want to be in the future.
Random things that are satisfying(21) Chloe Reese
There are many things in life that you would think of as satisfying. But, some we do, and some we don't think of as much. So here are a few that I consider satisfying.
1: pulling cookies out of the oven( smacking the sweet smell)
2: The first bite of the pecan pie at Thanksgiving.( I love pecan pie)
3: laying my head on the pillow at night( especially after a long day at school or work)
4: opening up my favorite candle after you just baught it from the store.
5: watching reruns of my favorite movie
6: seeing snow during the winter( even if it's just a little bit)
7: getting done with homework
8: going to the beach and stepping on the soft sand.
9: when my fingernails finally dry
10: having my favorite song come on the radio
11: the cool breeze of the fan that hits my face at night( when I sleep with it on that is)
12: thinking I am right( even if I may be wrong)
13: a sip of Dr. Pepper after going a week straight drinking water
14: hugs ( it's the simplest things that matter the most)
15: a pat on the back or a good job, Chloe
16: babies laughing( literally the best thing ever)
17: first dip in the pool for the summer
18: cherry coke( the one's at Waffle House are the best)
19: chocolate( of course milk chocolate is my favorite)
20: road trips are the best
21: smoothies( strawberry banana is my all time favorite)
22: seeing my family after it has been a while
23: Gum, I mean who doesn't like gum
24: taking a chance on something or taking a leap of faith
I know all of these weird satisfactions are, well weird but they satisfy me. I love every single one of these actions or things. When I do them or get them I feel satisfied with life, at least at that moment. I could probably think of more but that's all I really have to share right now, and hope they made you think of what makes you feel satisfied with life too.

Trees(20) Chloe Reese
Trees are everywhere around us on this Earth. In luscious green forms and in just plain plant forms. Humans produce carbon dioxide which plants need to grow, and plants produce oxygen which we need to live. So, trees are basically our allies in life. They give us what we need to survive and we give them what they need to survive. There are so many types of trees all over the world. There are Palm trees in the drier areas, fruit trees like apple trees, evergreens and so many many more. Trees are probably the most known plant around. When you say tree, everyone from anyone can name at least one of not more. No matter where you are from there is probably some type of tree or plant in the area. I think that trees make the world so much more beautiful. They grow tall and big. They also provide cover and shade, and also habitats and homes for animals. The only thing I hate is that people all over are cutting down trees to build things. Trees are cut down to build huge building and homes. Trees are used for so many things that we are losing so many of them. Trees are used for paper, money (which is used every single day), wood for fires, phone poles, building houses and building, and pencils. I believe that for every tree that is cut down that person should have to plant a new one some where else. This is mainly because one day and the way it is looking, soon, there will not be any trees left. This isn't good because trees produce oxygen we need to live, without it we can't live. But, another reason is that they provide homes for so many animals, that would die without them. Lastly they make the world beautiful and pretty.
Cell phones(19) Chloe Reese
There are so many different types of cell phones out there. There are androids, I phones, and many more. It's crazy to think how the world has advanced with cell phones. At fist they were big and connected to a bag, then there were bulky ones, then they got so small you could read the numbers, and then today they are getting big again. My personal favorite type of cell phone is the I phone. I have had other kinds but these are my favorite. The sleek look is what fist attracted me. They hair look like nice phones. But, then I used one and loved how simple they were. I have used my moms phone which is a LG, and couldn't easily find where anything was. I phones have everything right where I need it, when I need it. I phones have a calculator, is connected to google maps by the app, has face time to talk to people, shows the weather of any place you want to know, I message, and can download many kinds of apps and games. I love my phone, the 6s, because of how easy everything is to find, and how much items are easy to access on it. Although cellphones have changed from huge, to tiny, to getting larger and thinner in size, they have also highly advanced in the technology in them. Most cell phones today are touch screen. With one light touch you can go to any where you want. You can look things up on google, play games like temple run, subway surf, and even Pokemon go. You can also browse social media. There are so many apps to get with cellphones today. Cell phones didn't always have touch screens, Internet, and games. Cell phones use to have real keyboards, flip open, and were only used to call, text, and maybe, yes maybe take pictures. This sounds crazy to some people, but to me it isn't because I use to have one of those phones. I am happy and amazed with how far cell phones have come over the years.
Band(18) Chloe Reese
I have been in band ever since I was in seventh grade. I as
first interested in band because Mr. Alsup was one my favorite teachers. So on
the first day of seventh grade I went into his class. Band was either third or
fifth period back then. I came in and sat down with my friends. Then he asked
what instruments we might want to play, I had no idea. So, Mr. Alsup introduced
me to the flute and had me try it. At first I couldn’t even make a sound on it.
But then after practicing and trying I did it. I was so excited to be able to
play a song. I was ready to learn all the notes and put them together, and make
music. I love band, it is so fun to be able to learn new songs and perform
them. Performing is nerve racking but fun at the same time. My friends and I get
to go to different places and perform with each other. I met many of my friends
in band. This is great because we get to go on trips together. Which since I have
moved up to the high school band, everyone in band has been a friend. This is
because I see them every day, go on trips with them, perform with them, watch
basketball games with them, and rely on them during performances. If one person
in the band messes up, everyone can usually tell. Each person in the band has a
part to play and support. Band is also like a family, they support you and want
you to succeed. I love band, fundraisers, performing, and the places we go. I love
raising money for new instruments, t- shirts, and the big trip we take at the
end of the year. If we raise enough money we get to go to Branson. We take a
bus from the school at about five o’clock in the morning. Then we head to
Branson where we get to perform to win plaques and medals. Then after, we eat a
packed lunch and spend the rest of the day at the park. We leave the park about
five o’clock. Then we head home, eat, and arrive back at the school about
eleven. Band is more than a class, and I love it.
