Robert Long- Blogosphere: Episode 1

So this summer has been one of the craziest summers I've ever had. I've waited until the end to hit you guys with all the bangers, and I think its finally time to release my life (this is definitely not procrastination). Anywho, when this summer started, towards the end of May, I wasn't sure what it would behold. Would it be amazing? Would it be a boring, typical summer? I did know, however, who I'd be spending the first week of summer with. Some friends of mine from out of town had just came in and were staying in Jonesboro. Luckily for us, we had nothing planned for a few days, so we got together and threw a small "get-together." We all got together after a couple of months of not seeing each other and had enough fun to make up for it all. There was swimming, shopping, and a HUGE lack of sleep, but besides the hundreds of dollars waisted and hours of sleep we missed out on, I like to think that it was all worth it. It wasn't some big or crazy extravaganza, but it was the one thing I needed to kick off my Summer 2019. Our little party also helped me realize that, through everything we had waisted over those few days, nothing could compare to the time we had spent with each other. I truly feel that you can only enjoy someone's company after spending quite some time away from one another. If we saw each other on a daily basis, small parties and shopping sprees wouldn't be near as much fun nor worth the time we had those hours we were with each other.
The ending of our time that weekend seemed to force our trainwreck to a screeching halt. With no money nor time left, we had to call it a day. Two of the five of us split back off to North Carolina, one quested back home to Montana, and I drove the other back to Texarkana before finally going home. I can honestly say that that weekend was one of the best times I've had in quite a while, but the rest of my summer would only prove to be more of a rollercoaster than I could ever imagine.

  1. ROBERT!! I miss you so much!! I was saving my last comment for you! Actually not really but we can pretend. haha. I can totally relate to ur statement about “valuable time together.” I absolutely love when I get to spend time with friends that I don’t get to see as much. It always seems like anything you do with them is sooo much fun because you never see each other. I’m super glad that the beginning of your summer was awesome. Can’t wait to read about all the other fun times you had. I love you with my whole heart. See you Tuesday!! - alexis courtney #11

But I have seen you quite a bit over the summer driving with your dad down the road and going to your house and mowing your grandmas yard or whoever that yard is right past my grandparents house. Also would you look at Alexis' comment. Geez dawg I think you are on to something haha. But anyways I hope you have had a good summer and I can't wait to read your other blogs and pester you tomorrow at school. The grind is real, you better get them done before it is too late! 3. Your blogs are so thought out and perfect, nothing like mine. I'm glad you had fun at the get together. In all honesty, you're one of very few that I kept in touch with over the summer. There's never a dull moment when speaking to the Robert Long. I can't wait to see you tomorrow and get a big hug. I also can't wait to see your hair in person. Pictures only do so much. We have to get back to our fortnite days. Let's bring back the fortnite squad of me, you, Vic, and Mr. Cottingham. Those were the good days. Or even a good game of scribblio. This time you can't make fun of my horrible spelling or awful drawings. Love you.

  5. So my summer consisted of pretty much the same things. I spent time with friends and family and sat around. I, however, did not miss out on my sleep. I can't afford to lose a single minute of summer. Reading this blog is interesting and I think it's really cool. I noticed that you said you had a friend from Montana. I lived there for 3 years so I'm wondering where they're from and who they are. You may not see this, so I'll ask you in class. If you do, then well, you'll have probably already answered my questions. These are really cool and I'm going to do some more.
