Dear
Mattie,
I
can't thank you enough for being my best friend from the start. I
don't see how you've put up with me for this long, but I guess that's
just one of the many things that make you so great. Whether it be
school projects or night runs to Target, you've always been by my
side. You make every vacation fun, and something that I will never
forget. When I'm with you I know that I'm going to have a good time.
Most of my best memories have you in them. I will never forget when
you used my gum to fix one of our projects because we broke it right
before it was due. I don't think you know how much of an impact
you've had on me. You show me that I should always try to be happy,
and that situations usually aren't as bad as I think. You are be far
the funniest (craziest) person I know. I wouldn't be the person I am
today without you. Thank you for always being brutally honest with
me, which saved me from a lot of dumb decisions. Thank you for
letting me show up at your house and stay for days at a time. I love
how most of our time together is spent baking, cooking spaghetti, or
making pancakes. Pro chefs in my opinion. You can't forget the
endless episodes of 'Worst Cooks In America' and 'Total Drama'. Thank
you for loving me even when I make mistakes. Even though you aren't
Ms. Long's star student, you are definitely a wonderful friend. You
such a hard worker and one of the smartest people I know. I have no
doubt that you're going to go far in life. I'm honored to be part of
your journey. I love you more than anything in the world. I hope to
be half the beautiful woman you are and will become. Also notice how
I didn't use any exclamation marks because I know how much you hate
them.
Love,
Samantha Lyles
