Blog 1 Carson Smith

It's July 6, 12:46 am, and I'm laying and bed and can't sleep, so I decided to start my summer assignment. First, my summer has been pretty average. I've played basketball mostly, went to the beach, to play basketball, and went to the lake. Netflix has also been a big part of my summer and I'm sure my classmates can relate. Basketball gets old, but the lake always makes me happy. I just got back from a five day trip there and it did not disappoint. My summers are the same every year though. Basketball, lake, Netflix, stay up way later than I should, and procrastinate my summer assignment. Good thing we don't get punished for procrastinating because I can see many of us would be in trouble. Mrs. Long, if you even read this... I really love summer assignments. Anyways, does anyone know how to check the word count on these things? This blog is a really scatter brained one; I hope that's okay. I really love summer, though. The only think I don't like is when my mom says I need to clean the house because I'm home all day doing nothing. It also stresses me out when I realize I'm a month away from school and haven't started my summer assignment, but I'll try again next year. The good things about summer is I don't have to get up early. I accidentally slept till 2:00 today! I also don't have to worry about my classes and grades 24/7. It feels good to relax and spend time with friends all the time. Especially dead period because no basketball! I know we all love staying up really late, and summer let's us do that. Summer is the best time to get closer to your friends, get tan, and do your summer assignments amiright!!!! I was also in a wreck this summer. It wasn't a bad one, but I did end up in a ditch. That's probably the most exciting thing I've done. One last thing, how do you comment on these things? Well, I miss all my classmates (and Ms. Long) and hope you're all having a wonderful summer!! Stay safe, sleep a lot, watch Netflix, and make sure you do your summer assignments! Comment what y'all have done this summer and see if it's been as lit as mine.

  1. Hey Carson! I can relate about Netflix being a big part of my summer. The show I am watching on Netflix is called “Gossip Girl”. Most people have already watched it. I usually go to the lake the week before school starts back. My summers are pretty much the same every year, too. Yeah, not many people has decided to do their summer assignment! I usually type my comments and blog post on a word doc then copy and paste it to the blog! This has been extremely helpful to me! On word docs you just go to “Tool” then click “Word Count”. My mom tells me and my siblings the same thing! Lol. It does feel good to not have to worry about my grades! That is honestly probably the highlight of summer! Glad you’re okay from the wreck! When you view someone’s blog post scroll to the bottom and it ask if you want to leave a comment. Have a great summer Carson!!

  2. Hey cars, it's Klo. You asked me to tell you what all I've don't this summer? Well, If you'd read my blogs, then you'd already know. But I'm gonna give u a break since you seem to just have started your summer assignment. I've been to the beach, the lake, a luke Bryan concert, and floated the river. It hasn't been just an off the top amazing summer, but it's been a good one so far. Pretty sure we all can relate to procrastination. It's a part of the teen age life. Lol. Also, I'm super glad you're okay, and didn't get hurt withing that wreck. Maybe you could suggest to Wes that he focus more on the road rather than the ditch. That's just a suggestion thought. Anyway, continue to have a wonderful summer, and stay out of trouble. Toodles. :-)
