Hailey’s blog #7

So, we have had Hayden’s dog for almost three weeks now and she is doing good. Hayden had taught her how to sit, lay down, and how to retrieve some duck decoy he bought. Which is really good except for the fact that she doesn’t even know her name. She picked up on potty training really quick and has down fantastic. The only problem that we have had is the other three dogs don’t really care for her. Abby, the oldest, doesn’t bother her. She mostly stays on a bed or a couch, so Dixie can’t reach her. Bella, the black one, likes her a little bit. Bella has started to play with Dixie and actually enjoys having her around. They both like laying in the pool that Hayden bought. So, we have about 50 dead crawfish laying on the outside of the fence, because Hayden planned on raising them in the pool. However my mom made him get ride of them, so now the pool is being used by the dogs. Avery, my dog, still doesn’t like her; however she has stopped growling at her all the time. I think over time, when Dixie grows out of the puppy stage they will all like her. I’m a little upset because Dixie has grown so much already and I think they are the cutest at the puppy stage. I swear if  there was a breed of dog that looked exactly like a lab puppy and didn’t grow any bigger, I would have a thousand of them. Anyway, Dixie has chewed up plenty of cords and somehow she has managed not to get shocked. That’s the only thing she chews on, which is good and bad. So, I guess we got lucky there. Oh and now my family has five dogs and one cat that are nothing but lazy. So, pray for us that all of these dogs will continue to listen and that my mom and brother don’t get another animal!!!
