Hailey’s blog #9
I know that everyone is not as lucky as me to have an amazing big brother or to even have a big brother at all, so I thought I would inform all of you what you are missing out on. You are missing out on the amazing experiences on how you should be treated by other boys. My brother has truly blessed me and showed me how I should be treated. Which, I am extremely thankful for, because you should never be treated less than you truly are. Also, you miss out on having your older brother take you to restaurants, movies, and other places just to hang out. That also includes tagging along with him and his buddies to make amazing memories. I have made plenty of memories with him and I am extremely thankful for everyone of them. Some of those memories are the best ones that I have ever made. Along with a big brother comes the protectiveness, he has always protected me from things that I shouldn’t see or things that I shouldn’t hear. That includes the bullies that I could not stand up to from being little and the ones that I was to scared to say anything to. Having an older brother also teaches you how to handle certain people and how to not let people bother you. That is probably the best thing that I learned from him and I use it all the time. Lastly, is the love of a bigger brother. It is the best thing to experience, because if he is anything like mine, he lets you know he believes in you and loves you at the times that you don’t believe in yourself. He helps pick you back up and and helps you become the person you should be. And he will never give up on you no matter how hopeless you are, which is the best feeling ever. So, having an older brother is a true blessing sent from God and I am extremely thankful for mine. I pray that my daughter will be blessed with an older brother like mine!! Sorry, if this is like a sappy post, I didn’t mean to make it one!! :)
Having an older brother is great, and I have been blessed with two. I love my brothers and I am thankful for them. All the things they do for me are great. The only thing about my older brothers is that they live four hours away. I moved away from them when I was only six years old and I've missed a lot of time with them over the years. But the time that I was given to spend with them, I'm thankful for. The bond that I have with them is wonderful and I am glad I have it. That's all I've got. - Tiffany F.
ReplyDeleteHaving an older brother is a true blessing, even when he annoys me at times, because he is always there to show me how much he loves me and pick me up when I'm down. Even though he is ten years older and has his own family to worry about, he always seems to find time for me, which I love. Your brother sounds a lot like mine, although I think all older brothers are mostly alike. My brother has always been very protective of me, so I can only imagine how protective he's going to be when his daughter gets older. Anyways, this was such a sweet post!
