So, I've recently gotten into a band called Day6. They're not really like BTS or Got7, but they do come from the same company (JYP Entertainment) as Got7. They're a Korean (obviously) kind of rock/pop band. If I had to compare them to another boy band, I'd say more like 5SOS than 1D because they play actual instruments.
Day6 has 5 members (did have 6, but Junhyeok left) Jae, Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, Dowoon. (Like I said, I just recently learned about them, so I totally just looked up their names, but I can tell you Jae is the one with the blue hair in their Shoot Me video)
Speaking of their song Shoot Me, it was actually the song that got me into them, including Warning. They just came out with their album Shoot Me: Youth Part 1.
So, let's talk about their song Shoot Me! In the video it shows a guy and a girl sitting across from each other at a table in a restaurant. The first part of the song says that “It's not an easy thing. To stand in front of you. It's like a thriller movie.” As the song goes on, getting to the chorus, the girl at the table points her hand into a finger gun at the guy, the lyrics going “The way we talk to each other gets harsh and harsh.” (or sharper and sharper),
Then the chorus: “Yeah, Shoot Me. Bang, Bang” and the girl shoots her finger gun at the guy and bullet wounds form on his chest. So, if you don't get the meaning yet, that's okay! I'll explain it. I probably wasn't very good at explaining in the first place. But her finger gun and the bullet wounds are technically a visual representation of her words hurting him. Later in the video, at the end, more people join in shooting the guy with words, and finally he pulls out his own finger gun (visual representation of his words) and shoots them, but not with bullets! He shoots them with colors! (Kinda like the Kill ‘em With Kindness thing).
Anyways, I happen to really like the song! At the end of the video there is a message saying “Vicious words hurt like a bullet” which is really true. For those of you who would be interested in giving it a listen and watching it (it has english subtitles, so you know what they are saying) here is the link: https://youtu.be/g2X2LdJAIpU .
And here's the full chorus: (in English)
Yeah, Shoot Me
Bang! Bang!
Your bullet, bullet, bullet
I'll take as many as you want.
If this is what you wanted.
Just shoot me.
Shoot me.
Aim to me.
Bang! Bang!
It's easier, easier, easier for me.
It's getting old now.
If this is gonna make you feel better.
Just shoot me.
Shoot me.
Anyways! (Hope you like the song if you listened to it)
I'm out!
