Austin Cottingham - 11 - Nashville things
After driving to Nashville we had to find a place to park. This was a total nightmare because of the total influx of people and their cars taking up two or more spaces. Most of the people we actually saw were walking to the places they were going. Also they used the public scooters that are laying around on the random street corners. It took a long time to find a good place to park, plus once we parked we had to walk around for about half a mile. Plus the humid weather mixed with the rain made the environment unique and terrible at the same time. There was no guitar stores down on the main street downtown which really surprised me seeing as how music is the foundation of the city. We walked around for about two hours up and down the street watching bands and street performers. We visited a few stores that had some good food and gave us a good time looking down the isles of trinkets. After we got done shopping we went back to the street to start walking to the Jeep because we forgot some stuff and I bumped shoulders with the blues artist walking down the street. I looked up and almost fainted because I just walked into this famous guy walking his model wife down the street. I just said,"hey sorry," and kept walking red faced, while my dad was laughing at me the whole way back to the Jeep. We got the stuff from the Jeep and visited a local coffee shop, getting coffee before we go to the concert. We arrived to the concert an hour early and was halfway in the line. The line moved very quick passing people through security getting them into the concert. The concert was fantastic, the band was also made up of two or three music hall of fame award winners. Once we got done we went to the hotel room, went to sleep, and woke up to go and get more coffee. Then we got to look around some neat guitar stores. Then after that we had to drive another four and a half hours just to get home and do this blog. Anyways hope everyone is doing their projects these things are tough.
It is awesome that you had fun at Nashville! I am glad that the concert ended up being great. It sucks that the weather was wack though. Nashville is a very fun place to be! It is funny that you ran into that famous guy, the famous dude probably also thought that it was funny. A lot of people still have not even started on these Summer projects lol, doing all of this in one week is really going to suck for them. I hope the rest of your Summer is great, even though there is not much left at this point.
