Tristan Smithee #7
Hi everyone. The last two days have been really busy. No surprising I guess. I have been working with a little girl. She is seven and a half. She is wanting to learn how to barrel race. So I said I would help her as much as I could. She has been making great progress the last two days. She is really getting the hang of it. She is also super sweet. Anyway after I finished riding with her I went home and watched tv for awhile. The first time I had got to sit down in three days. Today I woke up early and started doing my chores. I cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed, and made my bed. Not hard, but I also had to go clean stalls at the barn and turn the horses out. I then hooked up to the trailer and headed to a friends house who has a machine that vibrates and helps horses, and people, recover from strained muscles or injuries. I have never seen any think like this one. So it was very interesting to learn about it. It starts all in a suitcase looking box. You plug it in and hook a tube looking rope, made from plastic, onto the box. You turn it on and it sends vibrations through the tube and it transfers onto the horses muscles. It makes them relax and the blood flow through their bodies. Anyway after my horse was done. I had hit my leg pretty hard on a barrel, so she put it on my leg. It felt kinda strange at first until you got use to it. It really helped more then any medicine ever could. After we finished with that, I stayed a little longer and ate lunch with her. She then asked if I would help her clean stalls and do a few things. I agreed to help her, I helped instead of paying her. Fair trade? I really was interested in knowing about the machine and what all it did. Hopefully my mare will be back to running like herself soon. Anyway I hope everyone has had a good couple of days.
Hey Tristan, it seems like you are always busy haha. Every time I read your blogs you always are doing something. Which is not a bad thing. I bet it felt really good to sit down after a day like that. I hate chores. This summer since I am not working or anything Mom leaves me a list of chores. They aren't hard, I just never want to do them. I am glad you got to learn something, that is always good. I bet hitting your leg like that hurt. I am glad that thing helped though. Anyways can't wait to see you tuesday at school. ---Cailey Qualls
