-----Grant Smith #2 Mtn.Home Friends
If you know me, I can make friends with anyone, except for people who punch my truck(stay tuned for blog #8). No, that was not a brag because it could get me killed one day. But anyways, I love to meet new people and make friends. Well, from spending so much time at the lake, I met many new people from certain events. Besides from them saying that I am "yeeyee" and that I supposedly talk like I "just hopped out of a corn field", I liked them. For a second, I could've swore they were just like me, but they definitely weren't .I was surprised at how similar, yet different they were from me. As soon as I started talking to them, they stated,"Let me guess, you're from Jonesboro." I proceeded to tell them I was not from Jonesboro and I think that's why they made friends with me. Apparently, Mountain Home kids and Jonesboro kids don't mix. They did not sound like typical Arkansans, but they are very similar to us from the NEA. They all hangout like us and they listen to the same kinds of music as us. Of course this sounds odd to talk about another person from Arkansas like this, but you'd be surprised how diverse people are when they live two hours and thirty minutes away from you. I told them about my school and how awesome us Rebels are. In return, they told me about how huge and nice their school was. Mountain Home is basically a hillbilly Valley View just from what I could tell. I would actually like to go there because they actually do have a sweet school, but I couldn't imagine not being a rebel. All in all, they were cool people. They love their home mostly because it is basically an entire lake, this coming from a guy who lives in a city literally named Lake City. They enjoy talking about who is the best rapper and what kind of truck/car they want to drive just like every other teenager. They also enjoy making friends(as long as they aren't from Jonesboro), something I can also say I enjoy doing.
