Summer Ending- Wesley Jordan(#21)

As summer is ending I am reflecting back on how much fun this summer has been. I have done so much stuff this summer to make it great. This summer wouldn't had been as great if it wasn't for some of my wonderful friends. I am so glad that I have such great friends to go threw life and experience things with.
This summer has definitely been one for the books. From sitting at home all day watching Netflix to always being on the go doing something. You name it, I have probably done it. God has definitely blessed me with such a great life and put great people in it.
Summer has been great but now all I can think about is school starting and finishing my summer assignment. Every time I think about starting my junior year my stomach turns. I think about how hard this school year is going to be. I think about the AP class that I will be in. I think about how hard everyone said Conner's class was. I think about how many classes that I am taking that are required for me to graduate. All of these things make me just want to some how skip ahead two years and be in college already.
I would honestly rather be half way done with college now and trying to open up my own orthodontics place. But I need to take it slow and live the life of a teenager while I still can.
I really wish that we still had longer than a few weeks of summer left but, I am ready to see how this year goes and all my friends that I didn't get to see but a few times over the summer.
Overall, this summer has been a really fun filled one. And I'm glad that I got to do it with some great people by my side. Even though school is starting, we can still have fun on the weekends and during the few breaks we get during the year.

My Mother -Hattie Milligan

The definition of a mother is a woman in relation to a child whom she gave birth. I was blessed with one that is so much more than that. She has taught me, supported me, cared for me, and loved me through everything. I will never be able to pay her back for all the stuff she has done for me.
My mom has taught me many things. She’s taught me how to be polite, to use manners, and to be respectful. She also taught me things like cooking and doing laundry. I remember the first pancake she let me flip. She taught me to work hard in school and everything else I do. She is my favorite teacher.
My mom has supported me no matter what. She tries to come to every sports game and make it to every event that I am in. The only reason she might miss is because my brother or sister might also be doing something. She comes to every award ceremony and banquet. She is just always there. She was the first person I called when I got saved, and I think she was just as excited as I was. She always has my back and I can’t thank her enough.
She always cares for me and my family. Like tonight, she got home late from work, but she still cooked an amazing meal for us. When I sprained my wrist a few years ago, my mom took me to her work at nine o’clock and took the time to make me a brace. She cares for us physically, mentally, and emotionally.
My mom has showered me with love every single day. She loves my family no matter what, even when we are being lazy and stubborn. She has showed me the love of God and has made me the person I am because of it. Her love is unconditional.

So I was definitely blessed with an amazing, loving, supportive, and caring mom. She has always pushed me to work hard at everything I do. I cannot thank her enough for all the stuff she has done for me. I really don’t think I could live without her.

Genesis - Brittany Tucker (#14)

Genevieve sat down at the table, looking at her menu quietly, wondering where her boyfriend could be. “Why is he late?”
The waitress came by, asking if she was ready to order.
“I wanna give him a few more minutes,” Genevieve replied.
The waitress smiled and nodded, leaving Genevieve by herself. This pattern continued on and on for about an hour or so, with Genevieve asking for more time, hoping he was just late, or lost track of time. Genevieve glanced around the room, taking in the looks of the other customers. They all seemed to have looks of sorrow and pity on their faces as they looked to her.
The looks turned from sorrow to apologetic, like they all know what happened. They made Genevieve feel worse and worse about the whole situation. “Why isn’t he here yet? I’ve been waiting for two hours!” she grumbled to herself.
After giving him a few more minutes, she stands up, ready to leave, only to feel a hand on her arm, gripping it lightly. A handsome young man sits down at the table, exclaiming loudly for everyone to hear, “Sorry I’m late! Traffic is just terrible right now!” before hearing him add quietly, “I’m Slayer. Just roll with it, okay? Whoever stood you up is the king of all jerk-wads. You deserve better than him,” Slayer winked.
Genevieve grinned, going along with Slayer’s plan. He was being incredibly sweet and trying to save her from continuing to get looks of pity from everyone around. It didn’t help that he was one of the cutest guys she’d ever seen.
She introduced herself, and the evening continued, full of laughs and hilarious jokes from Slayer.
As they were leaving, Slayer attempted to pay, but Genevieve stopped him, wanting to thank him for the wonderful even he’d given her. He grinned, letting her pay for everything, ignoring how much it irritated him.
Slayer took her hand as they left the building, stopping a few feet from it, “So, I had fun tonight,” he says, a serene smile on his face.
    “Me too,” Genevieve grinned.
“Would you... maybe... like to do this again sometime?” Slayer turns his attention to her, the smile on his face appearing somewhat hopeful.
    Genevieve nodded, “I’d like that.”

Date - Brittany Tucker (#13)

Misty groaned at the sight of her rent bill, throwing the piece of paper across the room, not really caring about where it went. She’d been so focused on training that she’d forgotten about the small detail that involved her parents forcing her into the human realm; forcing her to pay rent to a moderately priced hotel.
The sound of scraping got her attention, causing her to look to her bed. She sighed in relief as the sight of a grotesque claw pushed the paper back along with a stack of money.
“Thank you, Uta!” she exclaimed to the claw, receiving a thumbs up in reply. “Seriously. I don’t know what I’d do without you!”
Uta appeared from under her bed, sitting on it as he looked around the room. “Well, what can I say? I’ve taken a liking to you, little princess.”
Misty frowned at the nickname, still hating it. “How are they doing?”
“Queen Selena and King Jace are doing quite well. They wished me inform you that they miss you very much, and that they regret their actions of sending you up here,” Uta’s crimson gaze settled on her for a moment before he checked his very long, black fingernails.
Misty snorted at the obvious lie, “Yeah, okay,” she muttered sarcastically, “They sent me here saying it would be good for me; I needed to follow the tradition that Queen Yui and King Avery started all those years ago.”
Uta grinned, revealing his shark-like teeth before changing into his human form. A tall man with naturally blue hair and brown eyes now stared at her. His skin was tanned for the most part, with small scars lining his arms, visible from his lack of sleeves on his somewhat formal shirt.
A knock sounded from the door, causing Misty to jump. Uta chuckled, getting up to answer it.
    “Hello?” he asked.
“Hey, Uta, is Misty in there?” a familiar male voice questioned.
“Yes, sir,” Uta replied, stepping aside.
A very tall, light-skinned man stepped into the dark room. His eyes were leaf-green in color, and his hair was a pale blond. He smiled at Misty, who was huddled in a fetal position on the hotel floor, her long dark hair in low pigtails to keep it off her neck.
“Hey, Minnie!” Alvis waves, a bright smile on his face.
Misty groaned, letting her head fall on her knees, “Why do you still call me that?”
Alvis laughed heartily, “’Cause you’re shorter than me. Duh!”
Misty let out a sigh, “There aren’t many people that aren’t shorter than you. I swear, you’re half giant!”
    “And you’re half dwarf!”
Misty stood, taking the money Uta left on the floor in front of her bed. “What are you doing here?”
“Well, see, you’ve been focused on training, and it’s starting to worry the others, considering they haven’t seen you in days. Plus, you need to step outside,” he looked to the money in her hands, taking it away from her.
“Hey!” Misty cried, indignantly, “Give that back! I have to give that to...”
“No, you don’t. I already gave them their money, which means you owe me. This should cover it,” he looked down to her before glancing to Uta, who silently watched them. “Hey, Uta.”
    “Yes sir?” the demon replied.
“Mind if I steal her for a while?”
Uta smirked, “Not at all, sir.”
Alvis grinned, plucking Misty up from the ground, throwing her over his shoulder. “Alright! Let’s go, Minnie Misty!”
“W-Wait! Alvis! Where are we going?!”
    He chuckled, “On a date!”

Lake Norfork (8) Chloe Reese

Lake Norfork is a lake in North central Arkansas. This lake reaches 22,000 to 30,700 acres in distance and about one hundred and seventy-seven feet deep. Norfork is also said to have depth that no one has been able to reach. This is great information considering I visited in a couple of weeks ago. My family and I went to lake Norfork and met some of our friends. This was mine and my sisters first time visiting there. We started the day out by heading to Norfork. My mother wasn't exactly sure how to get there, so instead of going through hardy we put it in google maps. The map took us an hour out of the way. It felt like we took a trip around the state. So when we finally got there we met with our friends on their pontoon. There was about ten of us that fit on there including two little kids. We went on the pontoon to a sand island. We swam there for half the day until around five o'clock. We swam and watched people ride sea-doos and some of our friends rode them too. Then we ate sandwiches on the boat after we swam. Then we finally decided to leave and go to a cove to swim. We drove there and swam off of the boat. We swam there the rest of the day until about  eight o'clock. Then we went to our campsite where our friends had a camper. My family set up our tent next to them. Then we had some of the neighbor kids bring loads of food over. They had cooked Barbeque, corn, potatoes, ribs, pork chops, and hotdogs. Then when we got done eating we decided to all play a game. We had to move all the great food that was left off the table and set up chairs around it. The table was under a lighted canopy. So we decided to play spoons. So we played about ten rounds. We then wanted a snack so we roasted s'mores over the fire. Then we got full and around twelve we all decide to go to bed. Then we had to leave the next morning, but I can't wait to got back to lake Norfork.

Friends(7) Chloe Reese

There are many different definitions people would give if you asked,"what are friends"? People may respond with friends being someone you hang out with at school and on your free time. Some may define them as peers they can trust, relate to, and talk to when they need someone to be there for them. Then others may define them as someone who is so close to them that they consider them family. They share their secrets with them, trust them ,and consider them family. Friends are many different things to everyone.  There are friends that are friends only at school or work. The ones you do work  with, walk down the hall with, but don't really see outside of school. Then there are friends that you always see, are always at your house, and ones you consider family. Then there are those  good friends that you can go places with, talk to, and trust to be there and give advice. No matter which friends are which, they will all be there for you in different parts of life. They will also leave throughout your life, and you will have new ones come in and take their place or just join them. You should keep friends close and always be there for them like they are for you. I am so glad to have the friends that I have and appreciate every single one of them. Friends are there to hangout with, talk to, and relate to. Friends are the only people in life that can relate and understand what is happening in your life. They understand because they are going through or went through the same things. They are also the closest people, for some closer then parents, that know you and understand how you feel. This is why friends have many different meanings to different people. There are many kinds of friends people may have.
