Date - Brittany Tucker (#13)

Misty groaned at the sight of her rent bill, throwing the piece of paper across the room, not really caring about where it went. She’d been so focused on training that she’d forgotten about the small detail that involved her parents forcing her into the human realm; forcing her to pay rent to a moderately priced hotel.
The sound of scraping got her attention, causing her to look to her bed. She sighed in relief as the sight of a grotesque claw pushed the paper back along with a stack of money.
“Thank you, Uta!” she exclaimed to the claw, receiving a thumbs up in reply. “Seriously. I don’t know what I’d do without you!”
Uta appeared from under her bed, sitting on it as he looked around the room. “Well, what can I say? I’ve taken a liking to you, little princess.”
Misty frowned at the nickname, still hating it. “How are they doing?”
“Queen Selena and King Jace are doing quite well. They wished me inform you that they miss you very much, and that they regret their actions of sending you up here,” Uta’s crimson gaze settled on her for a moment before he checked his very long, black fingernails.
Misty snorted at the obvious lie, “Yeah, okay,” she muttered sarcastically, “They sent me here saying it would be good for me; I needed to follow the tradition that Queen Yui and King Avery started all those years ago.”
Uta grinned, revealing his shark-like teeth before changing into his human form. A tall man with naturally blue hair and brown eyes now stared at her. His skin was tanned for the most part, with small scars lining his arms, visible from his lack of sleeves on his somewhat formal shirt.
A knock sounded from the door, causing Misty to jump. Uta chuckled, getting up to answer it.
    “Hello?” he asked.
“Hey, Uta, is Misty in there?” a familiar male voice questioned.
“Yes, sir,” Uta replied, stepping aside.
A very tall, light-skinned man stepped into the dark room. His eyes were leaf-green in color, and his hair was a pale blond. He smiled at Misty, who was huddled in a fetal position on the hotel floor, her long dark hair in low pigtails to keep it off her neck.
“Hey, Minnie!” Alvis waves, a bright smile on his face.
Misty groaned, letting her head fall on her knees, “Why do you still call me that?”
Alvis laughed heartily, “’Cause you’re shorter than me. Duh!”
Misty let out a sigh, “There aren’t many people that aren’t shorter than you. I swear, you’re half giant!”
    “And you’re half dwarf!”
Misty stood, taking the money Uta left on the floor in front of her bed. “What are you doing here?”
“Well, see, you’ve been focused on training, and it’s starting to worry the others, considering they haven’t seen you in days. Plus, you need to step outside,” he looked to the money in her hands, taking it away from her.
“Hey!” Misty cried, indignantly, “Give that back! I have to give that to...”
“No, you don’t. I already gave them their money, which means you owe me. This should cover it,” he looked down to her before glancing to Uta, who silently watched them. “Hey, Uta.”
    “Yes sir?” the demon replied.
“Mind if I steal her for a while?”
Uta smirked, “Not at all, sir.”
Alvis grinned, plucking Misty up from the ground, throwing her over his shoulder. “Alright! Let’s go, Minnie Misty!”
“W-Wait! Alvis! Where are we going?!”
    He chuckled, “On a date!”
