David Thomas:Demon Slayer (DT:OS) Part 1 - Gabe Poe #4

David sprawled out on the couch in his motel room, exhausted. He’d just got back from his previous mission, killing another demon that stupidly tried to possess someone, and now felt like he could sleep for a century. Letting out an exasperated sigh, he looked up at the clock on his wall. Really? It’s only 9:40?
   He sprawled up to his feet and grabbed his revolver. Maybe I’ll grab a drink.

As he walked into the bar, a chill ran down his back. He knew what this was. It was a demon. He walked towards the bar and ordered a drink. Right when he took a swig, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He quickly spun around and saw a creature with crimson-colored eyes trained on him. “What are you doing here?” He asked.
   “Why should I tell you, demon slayer?” said the demon quickly.
   David replied with an uncanny, “Because you know what I can do to you.”
   “I’m here to feed,” answered the demon.
    David then pulled his revolver from its holster and fired three rounds at the demon. It managed to dodge at least one bullet before the others hit it.
   “That was quick,” said David.
   He turned and grabbed his drink while re-holstering his weapon only to hear the demon’s grunt. He turned around, seeing the demon standing right in front of him. He tried to pull out his gun, but the demon quickly threw him into the bar, causing him to drop it.

   The demon ran up and grabbed his neck, choking him until he passed out. When he awoke, he noticed the demon tied him to a chair, leaving him wondering just where the demon that attacked him was. He heard a loud crash.
  “Where are you, demon scum?!” he yelled.
    The demon walked out, covered in blood. “I told you. I had to feed.”
   He tried to gather enough strength to break the ropes, gaining rope burn instead.
