Existance --Jo Baker- #17

I started to think about all the things we have in the world. All the appliances, plants, food, fruit, desserts, inventions, everything. When you start to think about it all you realize that there is so many things in the world. Since the invention of the light bulb, the world has made huge leaps forward in inventions. It makes you wonder what would life be like if we didn't have some of these inventions? I decided to make a list to provoke the minds to think about what it would be like if we didn't have certain things.
  • What would it be like if we didn't have light sources? Such as light bulbs and lamps?  Dark maybe?
  • What would we do if we didn't have things like ovens, microwaves, and freezers? What would we eat? Would all the food we have just always be room temperature? How would we keep food fresh?
  • What would we do if we didn't have showers or baths? How would we bathe? Would we have to just use the sink and a rag?
  • What would we do if we didn't have flour? How much food would we still have? What foods could we still make?
  • What if we didn't have electronics? Like phones, computers, I pads, tablets, cameras. How would people connect? Would we be forced to actually talk? Would their still be cyber bullying? What would school be like? better? or worse? Better yet, what would the world be like?
  • What would happen if we didn't have mirrors either? What would people look like? What would we do to be able to do the simple things like our hair or makeup? What would we do if we couldn't take that last glance at your outfit before you walk out the door? Would this help businesses or hurt them?
  • What if we didn't have generators? What would happen if your electricity went out in the middle of winter or summer? How far would people go to get cool or warm again? What would they do to get warm again or cool?
  • What if we didn't have washers or dryers? Would we wash our clothes in the sink and hang them out on a line to dry?
  • What if we didn't have medication? Pills, shots, vaccines, needles. Would this help the lives of people? Or would it make things even worse? What if another disease broke out? What would people do? How would they react? Would people still help one another?
What if in one day all of these things happened. What if all the luxurious inventions that we rely on today just went away all of the sudden? I think a lot of the time we take a lot  for granted that we could lose. I think we should try to make everyday count and be as thankful as we can for the things we do have. If you are reading this now I hope it provoked your mind and made you question what life would be like.
