There was a time this summer that I had about three weeks off from basketball(which rarely happens.) During this time, my brother had gone to Florida with my Gran and my dad was very busy with work so my mom and I didn't have much to do. So, my mom came up with the idea for us to go to Hot Springs to spend a couple of days in a condo. Our condo was right on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs. The first day, we unpacked all of our things and decided to go down to the lake to sit on the dock. After we sat outside for a couple of hours, we went back inside the condo to eat dinner and watch movies. It was a great first day on our little vacation.
The next day, mom wanted to shop so we went around town looking for a mall or some outlets. The first mall we found was very creepy. It had carpet floors and only had a couple of stores. It was also very dark so that was really weird. After we left that mall, we went to downtown Hot Springs. There were cute little shops everywhere and there was so many different places to eat. We went to a lot of different shops. I ended up buying a couple of shirts. Mom and I also went and got these AMAZING cupcakes. We spent most of the day down town but we did get to go to the Gardens where the famous chapel is. Visiting the gardens was probably my favorite part of our trip. My mom and I got to walk around and see all of the flower gardens and we got to walk in the chapel, it was beautiful! After we got back to the condo that night around 6:00, I went swimming at the pool right next to the lake.
I had such a great time with mom on our little vacation, even though it only lasted a couple of days. I am so blessed to have a such a wonderful mother. I hope that we get to go on many more trips in the future.
