Flowers --Jo Baker- # 15

    There are a lot of beautiful things in the world. But one thing I love to look at in the world is flowers. If you think about it, it's pretty amazing how many there are. And how many different kinds their are in the world. I thought since their are so many I would name a few and the descriptions of them.

  •     Alstroemeria : This flower is used mainly as a filler flower. This flower is mostly found in the color orange, but can be found in yellow, white, pink, and red colors. This flower is mostly found in the wild. 
  • Amaryllis : This flower is also known as the Belladonna Lily. This flower is a bulbous plant that blooms from late December to late June. The stems have no leafs, but can have up to 12 blooms per stem. This flower also comes in many colors, including red, white, pink and orange. 
  • Anemone : This plant is a perennial plant that grows up to two feet tall and comes from a seed or a tuber. In addition to this flowers height it also comes in a lot of colors, red, blue, purple and white.
  • Anthurium :  This flower is also known as the flamingo flower, in addition to this, this flower is a hermaphrodite flower that bears fruit and can grow in mild climates. These flowers grow in many different shapes and colors but are mainly found in the color red. 
  • Asiatic Lily : This flower is a bulbous plant that is very hardy and easy to grow. These flowers can be grown in any type of soil and bloom from June up to early August. These flowers are mainly found in orange but can be found in yellow, pink or cream.
  • Aster : These flowers bloom from august to October, grow up to four feet tall and are an inch and a half wide. these flowers typically come in bright shades of purple, lavender, pink and red.
    I particularly enjoyed researching these flowers. I like that I even got to learn about new ones. I hope this helped anybody else who likes flowers as well. These are only a few of the hundreds of flowers on earth. But they're all interesting and beautiful. I hope this helped.
