My child hood -Ambria Curtis

When I was a kid, whenever my parents had to work I went and stayed with my papa and nana. My papa used to always take me to Presley's to get ice cream. Sometimes he even took his tea cup poodle, curly with us and bought her ice cream too. She really loved ice cream. My papa would also take me on four wheeler rides. We rode all over the woods and would go put feed out for deer. He even let me drive sometimes. We would also work in his garden during the summer a lot. That is one thing my papa loved is gardening, he just loved being outside all of the time. I remember always listening to his stories. He would tell me about when my mom and my aunts and uncles where kids and when he was a kid. Every Friday, my papa and my nana always took me to the bowling alley with them. In the mornings, there was bingo there so I always sat with them and played bingo. Then, a little later they would bowl and I would either bowl with one of my friends or play in the game room until they were done bowling. A lot of nights, my nana would cook dinner and my parents and I would go to their house to eat then we all played card games. We used to play this card game called knock-knock. One night they were playing and I was watching TV. My papa had to go do something for a few minutes so he told me to take his place until he got back. Well it just so happened it was storming really bad that night and there was a big window where I was sitting and BAM! a tree fell and hit the window. I immediately got up and said "Uhm papa you can have your seat back I don't want it anymore!" Those were some of the best times of my child hood, I wouldn't trade those memories for anything. I love thinking back to all of those great times we had together.
