One of my favorite restaurants is called Fuji's, which I'm sure everybody reading this has been there. Me and my sister wanted to go shopping yesterday and decided to go eat first before beginning the day of walking around. So we decided to go to Fuji's. One of our favorite restaurants.
When we walked in a waiter asked us if we wanted just a table or a grill. For anybody who doesn't know the grill is where you get to sit and watch your food be cooked on a grill type thing. We chose the grill. So we were seated, and they asked us what we wanted to drink. We both got sweet tea. Then they took our orders.
I ordered the steak and shrimp, well done. My sister ordered the same thing. The steak and shrimp also comes with rice, soup, and a salad. Although my sister only got the salad and rice. She didn't order the soup. They brought me my salad and soup and my sister her salad. The salads are excellent. They are mixed with a lot and have some kind of sauce that they use that is delicious. Normally, I'm not big on a lot of dressing, maybe ranch, but not a lot. But the salad that they make is perfectly measured with the sauce. I love it. And the soup is just as good. I have had the salad before but not the soup. Normally I'm not big on soup unless it's a certain kind. But my sister talked me into trying it and told me it was really good. So I did. And she was right, the soup was also very delicious.
After awhile the cook came to the grill and asked us how we were. We both said good, how are you? and he said good. Then he pulled out a note pad and confirmed our orders. They were right. He began by doing the little spatula and tongs show that they do. They spin them around in their hands, up in the air, and around the big grill. After this, he sprayed some kind of liquid onto the grill and said lean back please. He was right! We did need to lean back! He lit the surface after wetting it with what I'm guessing was fire fluid to heat it. Then he lit the surface and huge flames went up for about ten seconds. It was so hot!
After this, he put a huge mound of rice on the grill and began to chop it this way and that and flipped it around. The rice is my favorite part. He let the rice sit and then started juggling about four eggs, throwing them way up in the air, on the spatula, and caught them in his hat. After he did all of this, he cooked them on the grill, chopped them up, and had each of us try to catch a piece in our mouths. Neither me or my sister were able to catch the food.
Then he threw on the vegetables. Now the best part about how he cooks the vegetables to me, is the onion volcano. He takes a big slice of onion and takes the layers of it and makes it into a volcano looking mound. Then he takes the same liquid he used to light the surface I'm guessing, and fills the onion mound with it. After this he Squirted the same liquid a little off to the side and lit it, he took his fingers and drug the flame from the little fire to the onion mound and huge flames went up. It looked exactly like an erupting volcano. Then he turned the light off above the station and it made the flames look even more bright and elusive. He put something into the flame and it made it look like little sparks above the flames. Then he turned the light back on and the flame died down. Then he chopped the onion up and put it in with the other vegetables.
About this time the rice was done and he put two huge scoops onto each of our plates. Now when I say huge I mean it was humongous. You could get full on just the rice. Then, he offered both of us little bowles of sauce, and some cinnamon sauce I think. Me and my sister both mixed both sauces in with our rice. This sauce makes the rice even more tasty. Then he put the shrimp, steak, and vegetables on our plates and asked if everything was okay. We both said yes and thanked him for the food.
We sat for a while and ate our food. The food was delicious, and the tea was good too. We were nearly full not even half way through it. They give you so much food when eating at this restaurant. When we both got full we realized we both still had a lot of food left. So we payed the waiter and got two to go containers. We put our left over food in them and got ready to leave. After we left we drove to the mall and got ready to shop. If you're ever debating on eating at Fuji's, you definitely should. It is well worth it.
