beauty hacks -- karlee sanders

I'm always reading about "Beauty Hacks" on all my social medias. I like to read about them, and I find them really helpful sometimes! So, I thought I'd use this blog to share with all of you some of the most popular Beauty Hacks!
-For better grip, flip the bobby pin over so the wavy side is against your head.
-Insert bobby pins into your ponytail holder vertically to prop up your ponytail.
-Make your nail polish dry faster by soaking your nails in ice water after painting them.
-The most flattering way to apply concealer is to draw a triangle with the base under your eye and the point toward your cheek.
-Amp up your going-out makeup by contouring and highlighting your facial features with two concealers: one two shades darker than your skin tone and one two shades lighter.
-Fix foundation stains with a little bit of shaving cream.
-Add saline solution to a flaky mascara formula to re-wet it.
-Use the handle and the rounded edge of a spoon to create the perfect winged liner.
-Use cold green tea bags to decrease puffiness under your eyes.
-Make a less pigmented eye shadow more vibrant by covering your eyelid with a white eyeliner first.
Create the illusion of plumper lips by filling in the middle section with a light concealer, blending it out with the warmth from your fingertip, and finishing with a nude lip gloss.
-Apply Vaseline on your pulse points before spraying your perfume to make the scent last longer.
-Use complementary colors to balance out undertones. Green cancels redness, Orange cancels blue or purple on deeper skin tones, Yellow cancels purple on lighter skin tones. These pigments can be found in many concealers!
-Apply foundation to the center of your face and then blend out.
-Apply bronzer in a "3" shape starting at your temple and ending on your jawline for a quick contour.
-Use translucent powder to "bake" your makeup.
-If your in a pinch, a pinky/peach shade of blush can double as a contour powder.
-Layer foundation, concealer, and setting powder on a pimple to completely cover it.

  1. Karlee, I hardly ever wear makeup but when I doors always hard because I don't know the tips and tricks for such things. I'm not a beauty guru and probably never will be. It was nice to finally read something that may benefit me in the future. I would've never read any hacks for makeup if it wasn't for this post. I like the one where you were talking about green cancels redness and yellow cancels purple in lighter skin tones. Me being a teenage girl, I have a lot of redness and dark circles under my eyes and this would help me out very well. Thank you for the amazing hacks!!! -Angel Cash
