Farmers of America is a national youth organization that promotes
agriculture education with 629,367 member nationwide. Each year our
chapter goes FFA State Convention. Let me tell you, trips with Mr.
Wynn and my officer team is anything but boring. State convention is
the 1st week of June and is one of my favorite parts of my
whole summer. The bus ride to Camp Couchdale in Hot Springs and back
is half the fun. I start off our trip with trying to read or fall
asleep, but that never happens. The ride is actually spent eating
snacks, listening to music, and laughing at how competitive Harrison
and Gabe get in a Game about signs. It's quit entertaining to watch
Gabe get all worked up when he's ahead, thinking he's going to win,
but then Harrison always wins. When we finally get there it's always
exciting what cabin you're in. After we get settled in, which is
around 1, we go into town to ride go carts and play putt putt golf.
It's a sight to see watching me, Morgan, and Gracie trying to golf.
Not bragging, BUT I am the only one of us 3 who didn't lose their
ball. After all our fun n town, we head back for some Camp Couchdale
supper. Camp Couchdale has the best food. Each session of convention
has wonderful Keynote speakers. This year one of our keynote speakers
was Miss America, Betty Cantrell. The sessions are always so much
fun. You can always count on Gracie dancing to the music during
pre-session activities. You meet loads of new friends during your
stay at Camp Couchdale, and they're all very sweet. Most members who
visit the career show are more in the free samples than the actual
booths. One night they had an “Ag Teacher Idol” and it was
hilarious! After our 4 day stay, I'm pretty tired. The ride back for
me is full of napping and Taco Bell. I'm very content on the ride
home! Overall, State Convention is so fun, and I'm very sad that is
my last year attending as a member and not an Alumni.

Hey, the alphabet game is serious business, lol. I thought that state convention was great this year and I enjoyed it a lot. You three may have had your own adventures golfing, but it will never top the annual 1V1 that Gabe and I have, which, as you made a point of, I won. I regret missing Ag Teacher Idol and was glad you videoed the best parts. All in all, it was great and I think it went pretty well, considering nobody's shoes went swimming in the lake.
