Lexi B’s Blog #5

It’s a new week, so here’s a new blog. My trip to Oklahoma was long and tiring although we were only there for three days. We spent the majority of the trip driving somewhere new. Within those three days, I got approximately six hours of sleep. It was awful. The bed was not comfy and Kaitlyn wanted to sleep with all the lights on. We got a late start on the drive home. We didn’t even leave until about 4:30 pm. After fifteen minutes of driving, it started raining. It wasn’t a heavy rain, but it was enough to make us slow down a little bit. This continued until the Arkansas line. Once we crossed into Arkansas, it started storming. The rain was so heavy it obstructed our entire view of the road. We had to drive 50 miles per hour for about a hour and a half, so you can imagine how miserable that was. Eventually, we drove out of the storm and onto a dry road. This dry weather only lasted about two hours, though. We stopped in Beebe for gas and dinner. We went to McDonald’s and a stop that should’ve last about 5 minutes ended up taking 20. A guy threw a fit about how “gross” the restaurant was and how “irresponsible” the employees were. He then began to film and take pictures. I felt like I was in the making of a Facebook post. By the time we got our food, the sky was clouding up. It once again began to down pour. We didn’t make it home until about 10:45. If it wouldn’t have been storming, we would’ve been home before 10. You guys have no idea how happy I was to finally make it home. I seriously never want to go back to Oklahoma after this experience. I have to go back in September and if it does as much as sprinkle, I am turning the car around. I cannot go through another drive like that. It was one of the worst experiences of my whole life, but the McDonald’s situation totally made up for it.

  2. You know for a fact why I slept with all the lights on and the bed would have been more comfortable but you were putting out bad vibes and the bed was just vibing off of you. As for the McDonalds guy, I wish we could have caught his name so we could see the lovely post he made about the "hepatitis" that the McDonalds had. I was pretty convinced he was going to walk around the counter to take pictures, with the way he was leaning over it. This was probably the best trip to McDonalds ever, with their straws in a bag, their hepatitis, and Steven.

p.s - "I can't always clean up after you Steven." "This is nasty man, y'all know what hepatitis is!?" "Steven go to the back."
