Seeing White Hall Friends - Melanie Cheesman 6
Along with seeing my Mississippi friends, I also got to go to see my White Hall friends. I was originally supposed to go to Pine Bluff to stay with my grandfather, but my mom and I both knew I would end up staying with my friends the whole time I was there. I stayed down there for three nights and four days. The typical hang out spot in White Hall is the inside of the McDonalds. Therefore, I spent a majority of my nights down there inside McDonalds. The first night, a bunch of my friends and I just hung out there and ended up riding around for a while. The second night, we rode around for a long time and went to visit people, but we ended up at McDonalds that night too. However, the last night I stayed down there we ditched McDonalds and decided to have a small get together in Redfield at a friend’s pool. He also lives on the Arkansas River, so we got to swim in the river. The best part of my trip is that the girl that I stayed with has a white Jeep. We rode with the top down every chance we got, and it was the best thing ever. I also fell in love with this pair of shoes that almost every girl at White Hall has. They’re called Jandals because they’re considered “Hawaiian Jesus sandals.” They’re the comfiest and cutest pair of sandals. I 10/10 recommend getting some, and they’re only $10 by the way. While I was down there, one of my close friends that lives in White Hall found out that her intestines are bleeding and she could potentially have Chrone’s diseases; to help her get her mind off of things, we had another small get together where we swam and watched movies. It’s always good to go down there to see everyone, especially when they’re going through hard times. I did end up visiting with my grandfather for a little while I was down there though. We went to eat at one of his favorite places. I also went swimming in his pool and got yelled at by an old lady for swimming lol..
