My first real subject... how exciting! I honestly cannot decide what to write about first, we all know I love to talk, so this should come as no surprise that I’m indecisive. Okay I decided. This post is going to be about happiness. Something very important I have learned about happiness is that you have to be happy and content with yourself before you can be happy for or with someone else. Major key. Most of us are probably considered happy people, right? But truly we have to look deep and see what the reasons of our happiness are. I have really started to see that many people are happy because of materialistic things or plainly because of other people. To start with the materialistic idea, things should not be the sole reason of your happiness! Do I love a new pair of clean white tennis shoes? Of course I do! But those tennis shoes are not my source of happiness. And for the people, a boyfriend, girlfriend, parent, co-worker, or just your everyday best friends should not be your entire happiness. People come and go, we will all graduate, move on, find new people and new things. My point is, if those people are the only reason you’re happy... number one, what will you do when those people leave, or the relationship doesn’t workout? And two, why lean on someone else to make you happy? It just isn’t a good feeling. Other people should definitely enhance your happiness though. For example, being single for a period of time should not bother you because you’re content with yourself, but when the right guy/gal comes along, they will enhance your happiness and hype you up. (Especially because we all deserve to be hyped up, right?)Being happy is the one thing everyone wants to be, that’s just the facts. So my advice to you guys is #SELFLOVE! Spend time treating yourself and learning about what you love to do and who you want to be. You don’t need anyone but yourself to be happy.
Peace out blog #3
