Gage’s 8

This blog is about Adam. Adam is my girlfriends brother. He got sick one night and threw up on his side. He aspirated and now he has pneumonia and he is very sick. He got put in the hospital at st Bernard’s and we went. His o2 levels were way way low and his vent was not helping enough. They had to air lift him to Memphis at babtist east memorial hospital. They put him on the ecmo machine. If you know what that is, it’s really cool. If not, it’s this machine that takes out your blood, filters it, and puts it back in. You can literally see the difference in the old dirty blood and the new clean blood. It’s neat to see. But he was literally about to die and now he is almost out of the icu. They’ve got the vent off and the ecmo off and now he just has dialysis. But we’ve been up here seeing them every other day or so, and it’s better every day. I think he will be back in a regular room in the next couple days. He’s up talking and stuff but he’s not all there. God has given us a miracle with Adam. Nobody thought he would make it and he did. He has fought through and it worked out for the best.
