Bryce Despain - 11 - Vacation Part 4

Hello my peeps. Welcome back to part four of my vacation blog. It is currently 9:30 AM on Thursday, July 11th. We left our hotel about 30 minutes ago and we are in the parking lot of what is known as Grant’s Farm. This farm is called Grant’s Farm because the land that it is built on, was owned by Ulysses S. Grant. For those of you who don’t know who Ulysses S. Grant is, he was the Union General during the American Civil War, and he was also the 18th president of the United States of America. Anyways when we got to the farm, it was much bigger then I would have thought. I have already been there before when I was little, but obviously I wouldn’t remember that because of how little I was. First we went to the Clydesdale stables, for those of you who do not know, Clydesdale horses are the big massive horses that are in the Budweiser beer commercials during Christmas time. When we went into the stables we got to pet the horses and everything, the Clydesdale horses are over six feet tall as well. They get up to two thousand pounds and can pull twice their body weight which is pretty impressive, Clydesdale horses are actually work horses. The Clydesdale horses that we got to see were also the ones that are on the Budweiser commercials as well. After we looked at them for a little while, we then went on into the actually farm part where all the other animals were because the Clydesdale horses were actually on the outside of the farm, so I guess they were special or something. When we went into the actual farm part we had to wait in line for over thirty minutes to take a ride on a tour around the whole farm. It was honestly so cool because the animals came right up to us, and we were so close to them as well. After the tour, they dropped us off at an area of the farm where we could walk around by ourselves. Honestly this farm was just like a zoo, but the animals were free to walk around, which meant they would walk right in front of you and you could touch them if you wanted. It was so awesome. After we got done at Grant’s Farm, we went to the City Museum in St. Louis, and honestly don’t go there it is a waste of time. Although, I did get to ride a slide that was ten stories up in the air, which was fun I guess. That is the end of my vacation, and I’m going home tomorrow, so I hope you guys enjoyed reading all four parts. This is my final blog as well, so I will now start commenting on people’s blogs, so if I comment on yours, feel special. Bye bye.
