Courtney Tucker — #3

Okay, so, it’s like 12:11am. I’m super, duper bored. I was on FaceTime with a couple of people but got bored of that too so I left. Sorry not sorry, haha. I just posted blog #2 so I thought might as well write another. I’m kind of just getting really worked up for church camp. The camp is a week long. We leave on Monday for Smithville, Arkansas. I say that like it’s such a long ways away but, it’s really not. It’s, I think, about an hour away. Google has confirmed that Smithville is 1 hour and 9 minutes away. Can’t wait for that road trip. We ride basically a short bus to camp. Buses and me don’t really go well together on trips that are longer than approximately 4 minutes, haha. Okay, hold the phone. Can we talk about how awkward I actually sound while doing these blogs? I’m so sorry if any of you have made it this far. Anyways, back to the bus thing. I honestly just don’t do well on car rides of any kind. I feel sick and have a head ache the whole time. I try my best to sleep on the way there, though, so usually I’m okay. I’m so excited to actually be at camp, though! Every year this is how church camp goes. We get to the camp ground, get registered, then go set up our bunks in the dorms. The first day is pretty chill. You meet your team for the week on Monday and you all kind of just get to know each other. I’ve been going to the same camp since was eight so I pretty much know everyone that goes to the camp. It’s always fun to meet new people, though. You’re on a schedule the whole time while you’re at camp. Tuesday through Thursday all have the same schedule. Wake up. Small groups/ Devotional. Breakfast. Morning Worship. Recreation. Recreation is basically just you play games against other teams. It’s quite fun. Next is breakout sessions. Those consist of many different things such as a music class, social media class, a craft time, etc. You get to pick where you go everyday. Next is bible study. Swim time. Get ready for worship. Dinner, then worship. After that you just hang out until lights out. Usually games will be played. Every year on Thursday night the senior high campers might swim from like 10pm to whenever. It’s pretty fun! Friday we all get our stuff together and leave. I’m so excited to be at camp next Monday! This year just feels like it’s going to be a good year.  I know God will make my camp experience how he wants it to be and I can’t wait!
