First Day of Super Summer
Today is a special day in summer, it is the first day of my
week long church camp, super summer. It is my first time going to actual super
summer, Before this year I went to JV because it is for people in 7th and 8th grade, and now I'm in the 9th grade. Super summer is held at Ouachita Baptist University (the college I am
hoping to get in to. It is usually really fun, even though the car ride was
long. While we were driving I was able to finish the first part of Fahrenheit
451. It was amazing and sad, but I loved the entire thing. I loved it so much
that I began the second part as soon as I finished the first. I was going to
wait until we got to the camp, but I just couldn’t wait. Once we got to supper
summer and we got everything unpacked we began following our first day
schedule. We ate dinner, I had a hamburger and it was good, and then we had our
orientation to the camp. They announced all of the things we were going to do
and when we get to do them (most of what they told us was on our schedule).
After orientation we were introduced to our school leaders, our “schools” are
the people that we will have small group with throughout the week, I was in Red
school. After we were introduced to our leaders we got to go to “Big Church,”
it was what they called the evening worship that we had every day during camp.
The Museum played a great selection of songs and the speaker that they had gave
a great lesson. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week is going to have
in store. It is going to be amazing!
