State Is Almost Over :(

     "Wake up to the rising sun, don't stop until the job gets done," I woke up singing this today. I mean you can't blame me; they won't stop playing it around here, and it's very catchy. The first session today was very, VERY long and full of awards. After the first session all of us from Riverside were hanging out by the lake, like always. It was all fine until Gracie knocked Sydney's shoe in the lake. Somehow it was floating because of some trapped air or something. So she gets the idea to, with her already short arms and an even shorter stick, wade out into knee-deep water to get her shoe. The shoe was slowly drifting back to the shore, but she was persistent and was going to get her shoe. She was balancing on a rock and leaning over the water to try and reach her shoe. And right when it sounds like it couldn't get better, yep, she feel in. To only make matters worse she was wearing her official dress, which isn't the best swimwear. After all of that calamity we ended up skipping the next session and went to one of those arcade/go-cart/mini golf places. We didn't do much in the arcade except watch Gabe and Gracie duke it out at Guitar Hero. However, we did ride the go-carts and play mini golf. The go-carts were OK, but the mini golf was where it was at. Of course Gabe and I had to make it competitive and turn it into a 1V1. It ended up that it all came down to a one point difference on the last hole. Gabe had just went and had one more point than I did. This means I had to get a hole-in-one to win, and on the hardest hole yet. I lined it up and with complete luck pulled off the hole-in-one, much to Gabe's displeasure. Finally to end off the day their was a hypnotist show after the last session that was really funny. It's been fun but I am sad at how fast convention went by.
