People say that you are who you hangout with. These are the qualities that my friends have and I hope to posses. The people you hang out with influence you majorly. I want my friends, and myself, to be people who are friendly to everyone. I think you should make everyone feel like someone. Friends are people who help you to be the best you possible and encourage you to go above and beyond. I want my friends to be people who my parents would approve of and would be proud of me to have. Your friends should reflect the type of person you want to be. My friends are people I'm proud of and don't make me ashamed to say “Yeah, that's my friend right there.” These qualities make a person great, inside and out. I think all of these traits are great to have in life. These are the things you need to go far in life. I feel the qualities will also help you get along with coworkers in the work force as well. Politeness is very necessary in any career that you decide to pursue. For example, if you are always rude to your coworkers, then you probably won't enjoy your job as much and could possibly make you dread going in everyday.

  1. Karlee Sanders- Sam! This is a very good explanation of the many qualities that a friend should have. I'm proud to say that I'm your friend. A few of the ones listed that I like are loyal, uplifting, and respectful. Personally, I would have added non-judge mental, trustworthy, and blunt (when needed, of course). I feel like my friends all have these qualities. A good friend is so important to have! When you said, "Your friends should reflect the type of person you want to be." I thought about all of my friends and how each individual has influenced me in some way. That's you included! I loved how you included the example of how important these traits are in the workplace. That example is one hundred percent correct! I only hope that the people I work with someday have at least some of these great qualities. Thank you for writing this entry, I enjoyed it completely.

  2. Hey Sammie. I want you to know that I appreciate you so much. In my opinion, you do possess those qualities and every one of them shines through you. Your kindess is going to go unbelievably far in the world, not only in whatever career you pursue, but with all the people around you. You are sweet, kind-hearted, polite, extremely loyal, and you just care so much about our little group of friends that it makes my heart happy. I'm so blessed to have you as a friend and I hope to never lose contact with you. I know that can be a lot to ask since next year is your senior year and then you'll be off to college while I'm still in highschool, but I have faith in us that we'll still hang out and be close. You're going to do great things, Samantha Lyles. Never change. -Faith Brooks
