Studying tips (11) Chloe Reese
During school we have homework almost every night to help prepare us for tests. But studying isn't easy if you don't have some good studying habits. Over the years there are some habits that I have gained. Each I would study for a test I would come up with new ways to study that would help me. One tip that I found that helps me is highlighting. When I take notes in class I found, I like to highlight what I think is important. Also what my teacher says will be on the test or I what should focus on.I like to highlight the topic for each section of notes. I also like to highlight which lesson or chapter we are on. Doing this really helps me when I study. It helps me know what to focus on when I study. The next tip I use is having organized notes. If I label and organize my notes for each class, it also helps me when I study. Notes are very important to take during class. Notes can remind me what we went over and what may be on the test. Then another tip that really helps me when I study is to make a study guide. Some teachers may give these out and some may not. So, if I don't get one I make one with important topics I need to study on it. Then I answer and questions I may have about that topic that goes along with it. I also like to get home and do my homework and everything else done I need to do. Then I go into my room and study. I have to close myself off, so it is nice and quiet when I study. I sit on my bed and get everything else I need to study, then I study my notes and studyguide. Having a nice quiet place to study with no distractions is very helpful. Then the last step I may use is books. If my class has a book we are using for that section, I will also read the section over. This helps me get any information I may have missed.

Chloe, these are some really great studying tips. I'm really glad you shared these. I will probably start using some of these because it is hard for me to focus and study. It's hard for me to focus but, I think these tips will really help me out a lot. Except highlighting. Every time that I try to highlight all of the important things, I wind up highlighting almost the whole page lol. It is hard to decide what is important and the most important and what is the least important because, all of it is usually really important. So I just highlight every thing. -Ambria Curtis
ReplyDeleteHey Chloe, as someone who also goes to high school I know exactly what you are talking about. Through many tests and quizzes I have also developed my own study routines. I too mark what I think is important or if the teacher says it will be on the test. Except for me it is hard to study when its quiet. I usually listen to classical music in my headphones to study or study with somebody. I think it is interesting how there are multiple different approaches to the same simple task that is studying.
