Jacob's Blog 2

I’m sure most of you knew my dog Lily. She was the most peaceful, quiet, happy, and loving dog anyone could ask for. She was always with me at home. The sad thing is, she never go for rides with me in my truck. The last ride she got to take with me was when I took her to the vet in my moms car two weeks before we had to put her down. Ten years ago the most loving creature I had ever met came into my life. The next ten years after she came out of the womb, would be the greatest ten years of my life. We did everything together whether it was walking around town when I was younger to watching me playing fortnite on my bed, she was always there beside me. I loved this dog so much. She was the runt of a liter of eight, but she grew to be as big as her mom. She protected our family, she probably saved my memaws life by waking her up at four in the morning because of carbon monoxide. She’d chase us in the snow while we were on the four wheeler or she would chill outside with us in the summer. She was the best dog anyone could ask for. She was why dogs are called “Man’s best friend”. She always wanted to be the center of attention. Whether we were just chilling in the living room, or while we open gifts Christmas morning she was the center of attention. She was also goofy at times. If you had a glass storm door and Lily was there, you could bet money on her to lick the glass from the bottom to as far as she could reach. When she ran it was also kind of funny. She didn’t run like other dogs. When she ran, it was like she was running sideways. As time went on, her hips got worse, and she couldn’t hardly walk or run anymore. She would drag herself with her front paws because she couldn’t hardly walk. That was when we knew the time was coming soon. It was the day of game three of the college world series when we made the decision to put her to sleep. What made that day even worse was that Arkansas lost. You will truly be missed- R.I.P Lily.
