Jacobs Blog 6

So this summer Mackenzie, Morgan, and I went to church camp in Smithville. I have been a few times before to the same camp. We left the house around seven thirty and we met at our church at eight forty- five. We left the church around nine- fifteen. On the way up there I slept so good. I was listening to music and sleeping. How do you beat it. Best sleep I have had in a little while. The trip was almost one hour and thirty minutes. It took forever to get up there it seemed. When we finally got to camp I had to sign in and get my name tag so I could be on a team. They gave me a red tag, so I was on the red team. I met a lot of new people when I met up with my team. Some of the people I already knew, but others I had never met before in my life. The new people were super chill. There were a few people from Riverside too, but they didn’t really have much to say to me. I don’t know why though, it was weird. I got to meet the worship team from texas too. They were super chill. They know how to be competitive and have fun at the same time. They could sing really well too. When they would sing for the worship services it was like a concert. They were so good. Before morning worship we would go eat breakfast. We had the same thing for breakfast everyday; sausage, gravy, biscuits and eggs. It was always pretty good to be honest. I don’t remember what we had for lunch and supper the first night but it was really good I know that. The activities we did were also really fun even though I do not remember what we did the first day. The first day overall was okay though. When we had to go back to our dorm was when the real fun began. We played this game called “Butter Bean”. The rules of the game were really simple. If you said something with the letter “B”, you got punched until you said “Butterbean”. It was so fun.
