A couple weeks ago my dads boss called and said it was time to pack up and go to Texarkana. They were going to Texarkana because one of there buddies had a bunch of land that needed to be leveled. That night mom and I packed all of his stuff, because if he does it himself he always forgets something.
The next morning we all woke up at 6:45am, mom made a big breakfast. We all ate together before he left. He is supposed to be gone a couple months, but they keep getting more land so it might be longer. It is a two day drive on a tractor down to Texarkana. Which sucks for them.
My mom and I have been down there to visit a couple of times. He left at the beginning of the summer, so he is home sick by now.That's why we go a bunch just to give him company. When we go down there we really don't see him much because he works 6:40 to about 10:00 or sometimes later. by the time he gets back to the hotel mom and I are already asleep.
A couple times he has took off work to spend time with us when we go down there. We go eat, and they have a movie theater a couple minutes from the hotel. We normally always go there. I have probably seen almost every movie there this summer.
It is so quiet around the house without my dad being home. My brother is living here with us, because he works here in Lake City, so it is easier for him. He's only going to live here another week though, because school starts back for him and he lives at the AGR house. Definitely when we leaves it will be super quiet. I am not sure if I like it or not. It's hard to get used too.
I plan on going to see him again in a few weekends, but hopefully they will get the fields done, and he can come back home. Mom and I are ready because we hate staying in this house alone.
