Elijah Couch 5 - Wisconsin

My dad lives in Wisconsin and we went up to his house twice this summer. The drive is terrible, I mean it is a really pretty drive when you get up in the northern states, but it takes twelve to thirteen hours to drive there. The first half of the trip is okay because we are in mom's SUV then the second half sucks. The thing is though my dad drives his wife's tiny little car that has barely any room compared to my mom's car. Dad's wife has a little blue Hyundai car that has three seats in the car with little leg space and two seats up front like a regular car. My brothers and I are right on top of each other in the back seat almost so it makes for that half of the drive crappy. We usually have fun up there, we keep ourselves entertained while dad is at work and when he gets home we do something fun. We didn't do that much this last time we were up there. We went to the lake once and went shooting once and that's just about it. Shooting was really fun though. Dad volunteers at this shooting range in Boyceville which is about ten or twenty minutes away from his house in Menomonie. The range is outdoors and has a spot to throw skeets, shoot arrows, shoot pistols, and shoot rifles and other longer ranged guns. We stayed mostly in the rifle range area and shot my AR-15 that has peep sights and is chambered in seven-six-two by thirty-nine. The range is two hundred yards long but the last twenty-five yard was slightly uphill that went up to a back-drop. Seth had a great idea to set up skeets at a hundred seventy-five yards and see if we can't bust all of them. Dad was sitting there with the spotting scope and we take turn shooting at the skeets. It was hilarious because I'd be shooting and dad would tell me where it was hitting and at one point he said " a little to the left' bang ' little to the right" and it went on like that for about five shots then I finally hit it. I love shooting so that awesome to me to do that. I hope next time I go up there I can do it again

  1. Dude it sounds pretty cool to go up there. I have always heard Minnesota is a pretty place and all of them Northern states are pretty but I have never had the chance to actually go up there and see them. Just imagine if you had me as one of your brothers and we all got crammed in that little car. I am 6'3 now so I don't know if we would be able to make it up there or not because I don't know if we could all fit lol. But I am glad to hear you had fun up there and I am sure we will talk about it more tomorrow. See you then bud!! (Ethan Boatman #5)
