Ethan Boatman #9
So let me tell you about my dog, Sadie. We got Sadie bear the end of the school year and she is now 7 months old. Sadie is one of the sweetest and wildest dogs a person could ever meet. She is an Australian Shepherd and you can tell by the way she acts and some of the things she does. Australian Shepherds are herding dogs which means they are mostly used to herd animals around and do stuff like that. We do not use her for herding at all but sometimes she tries to herd us around. If we are walking to the kitchen and we are walking to slow or she just wants us to go her way then she will kind of nip at the heel of your feet. It does not hurt or anything it is just all she knows. That is how they herd the big animals is by nipping at their feet and doing other stuff similar to that. She will not be a very big dog, she is big but not huge. Right now she weighs about 35 pounds and she will probably only get up to about 45 or maybe a little higher. She is bigger than most Australian Shepherds so she may weigh more than an average one but she will not be a huge huge dog. She is very wild and nothing is safe around her. All she wants to do is play so most of the time she will go grab one of her toys out of the box and bring it to you and sit it in your lap and want u to play with it with her but when she isn’t doing that she is grabbing something that you have or that is near you and then running off and wanting you to go chase her and that is how she will play. It gets quite annoying sometimes but then again you have to think she is only 7 months old and she is trying to play and have fun. Overall she is a very good dog and I would recommend Australian Shepherds to anyone who is looking to get a dog!
