Elijah Couch 6 - fishing part 2
Like I said in a past blog we went fishing at my dad's. It was awesome we caught quite a bit of fish. I didn't think that we were gonna have much luck there because we have fished there before and caught crap. Luckily, dad has a friend that fishes all the time on the lake that we were on, Lake Menomin, and he show us a spot that is amazing, it is fishing heaven. Seth was fishing about ten to thirty yards away from the rest of us and he caught a fish called a walleye. They can get huge, but Seth's was only like a couple pounds. He had never caught a walleye before so when dad's friend found out he'd never caught a walleye before he was really happy that he was able to help Seth catch his first one. Daniel, my littlest brother, pulled in a walleye too a couple days later but it, along with Seth's was too small to keep. The thing that made it fishing heaven was that white, striped, and hybrid bass like to swim in that area. I didn't know about this til Dad told me, but where there is one bass there is multiple in the same place because they travel in schools or groups. So we caught a ton of them. Daniel caught a big sun perch it was like six inches long and weighed about two pounds, it was huge. Or maybe it was me I can't really remember my memory is terrible. We grilled a couple of those fish and fried the rest of them and it was really good. Dad's neighbor is a cook a one of the bar up there and he loves for people to critique his food and he fried up some crappie in a different way than we fry it and oh it was so much better. He makes it in a way that has a good crunch and when it is microwaved it tastes like it just came out of the fryer and don't lose any of the crunch at all. Don't get me wrong I love it the way we may it down here, but I was absolutely amazing how he made it. I ain't gonna give out the recipe either so y'all are just gonna have to go up there if y'all wanna try it.
