Day Trip and Books- Zoey McGowan 10/11

Here we are procrastinating to do this. I feel like that’s everyone's favorite word. It’s just so easy to push things off, anyway this is not what this post is about. Yesterday I went on a trip to Memphis with my mom and aunt. Of course we had to go to the bookstore!! I got three books to add to my never ending collection. At this point my bookshelf and any space above is filled with books. I did give some away well quite a bit, but I ended up buying twice of what I gave away. Oh well. It’s kind of way too many because I don’t have room on the top and actually started to put them in front of the ones already on the shelves. Okay enough about books. Let’s continue shopping. If you know me, I don’t like shopping. I don’t know why, just never have. But it was okay. We went to the pretzel place that used to be in the mall and I have missed it. Those pretzel bites are amazing. I also got some clothes. Overall it was a nice trip.

Friday my nephew actually left to go to the beach. He starts kindergarten this year, so last week was well the last week my mom got to watch him. She’ll pick him up and drop him off for school but it’s just different when you are used to being home all the time. The only thing that bothers me is him going to the beach without us. I get that he went with his dad, but they went with his mom and step-dad. It just aggravates me because they never come on trips with us but go out of their way to go with them. Last time I heard they didn’t even like him. It makes no sense to go on all these trips with someone you so called “don’t like ''. I just miss him, I want to have but it just sucks we never get to take him anywhere. I need like twenty more words. So I’ll see what else I can ramble about.

Okay um here’s a very random fun fact. Elephants can’t jump.

I'm glad that you noticed that everyone is also procrastinating on this project, I didn't see it. For real though, how many books do you own? Like, I would take a rough estimate in bookcases, since I know you have to have more than one. Also, I liked the random fact about elephants, but I'll have to one-up you, so did you know that the elephant's tusks are actually considered teeth? Speaking of which, did you know that elephant enjoy listening to music? Anyways, enough jabbering, I liked this post, and I can't wait to see your last one.

  2. I remember in elementary everyone was jealous of you because you had so many AR point and could always get big prizes. You would always get the biggest books in the library and have them read by the next day. I wish I had the motivation and time to do that. I really enjoyed this blog and it's hard to believe that Levi starts kindergarten this year. - sophie bell 7/11
