Now that I'm thinking about my vacations, I never really talked about the time I went across the country to the golden state of California. The trip was absolutely divine, we passed through Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and Nevada, each state having it's own sense of natural beauty. For Wyoming, it was the wonderful empty pastures that covered the landscape, with a view of the snowcapped Rocky Mountains in the distance. For Utah it had to have been the Bonneville Salt flats, it was an entire area covered head to toe in salt, and don't even get me started on California's natural beauty.
First things first, the staple of California, is the redwood trees, and their national parks. They were with out a doubt the largest trees I have ever seen, each one reaching far into the skyline and creating a nice cool canopy for the forest beneath. Speaking of the forest, they are totally silent, the only sounds you can hear are the sounds of nature, just sounds of a gentle creek flowing downhill to the sound of birds chirping their bewitching melodies. Next, are the beaches of California, and the greatest sunset I have ever laid my eyes on. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that, it was truly the best that I had ever had the pleasure of seeing. The beach itself was great too, the natural rock formations gave you great views of the are below you. Third, would have the be the mountains that we passed through as we entered the state. They were great formations of dirt and stone, that gave you an excellent view of the state no matter which side of the mountain you were on.
But lastly, and probably most importantly, was the people that we had met along the way. The apartment that we had moved into the month being, had such great neighbors. For the time being we will discuss the main person that I speak of, our landlord. She was one of the nicest people that I had ever met. I remember one night, she had invited me over to her apartment, after she learned that I am quite the chef. I peeled deviled eggs for her while we talked about who we were, and things got pretty deep conversation wise. She was really one of the only people that I have ever had a spiritual conversation with. Look, the point I'm trying to make is, that California isn't full of bad people, just people with different viewpoints than ours. The one piece of wisdom that I took from California, is that it's just the populated states that make California out to be a bad state. The people in the populated areas of California, often distract us from the states natural beauty. And that's my take, thank you for reading my blog post.
Hey john, Your California trip honestly sounds super fun. I have always wanted to take a trip and California. In fact, it is on my bucket list to go there. I have always wanted to go hiking and sight see there. I also love sunsets and taking pictures of sunsets, so now I would really like to go just to see the sun set. It sounds like you had a really great time. I really hope I get to see the states beauty sometime. I would really like to.
