As some of you might know, on August 9th three years ago, my grandma passed away from Cancer. Before she passed I already knew that I wanted to get a tattoo one day in memory of her. Before she passed, I had her write "Never let your fear be greater than your faith."
Well, three years later… On August 11th I got the tattoo I have wanted for so long now. It took a lot of talking into but I finally got it.
About two days before I got my tattoo, I looked and looked for the sheet of paper that she wrote it on and I couldn't find it anywhere. It meant so much to me to have something as a memory to keep of her. I looked for two days to find it and I still couldn't figure out where it was. I was so upset that we had lost something that meant so much to me. I cried all day the day before my tattoo because I was afraid I wouldn't find it. Well, my mom had looked on her phone and found the thing she had written. I was so happy, so I talked to my parents and explained how important
It was to me and how much I wanted it. I scheduled my appointment for my birthday. The next day we went and got my tattoo. I got what she had written in her handwriting on my foot.
Apparently, your foot is supposed to be one of the spots that hurt the most to get tattooed. Mine wasn't too painful. I won't lie it hurt but it wasn't near as bad as the guy made it seem. I'm super happy with how it turned out and I'm so happy I did it and so thankful my parents let me get it.
I'm sure most parents would be against letting their sixteen year old get a tattoo but my tattoo means a lot to me and it has true meaning to me.
I am really glad that you got to get your tattoo. I know that you have wanted to get this tattoo for about three years now. And you were not going to let anyone change your mind. I personally think it was a super sweet thing and a lovely way to honor your grandma. I am really glad you got to do something to remember her. Now every time you look at your tattoo you can remember how great of a lady she was. I went with you to get your tattoo and I saw you take it like a champ. I really do not know how you did that. I would have been bawling the whole time.
