Elijah Couch 2 - Fishing part 1
Alright so I have done a bunch of fishing this so these next few blogs are going to be about those trips. Not all of them are going to be in the same place though. Two of the trips not including this one are to this place I'm about to tell you about , one is up in Wisconsin with my dad, and one is at Panama City Beach, Florida. But those stories are for later so let's get down to business. My friend showed me this little pond right outside of Arkansas, across the Missouri state line, near Leachville. It's a little stock pond where there is nothing but brim and catfish. The name of the pond is Hoyt's stock pond We had a lot of fun there mostly because we kept catching fish almost every time we cast out our bait. I know how ridiculous that sounds going to a pond where you know something is gonna bite nearly every time the hook hits the water, but it really was fun. I was getting a little irritated at first though because I wasn't getting any hits at all and the wind was blowing pretty good so even if I was getting hits I couldn't feel them. It was a slow start for me for sure, but I eventually caught the second biggest catfish that day. It turned out to be a pretty good fishing trip after all though. My brothers and I caught about four or five catfish a piece. My littlest brother ended up catching the biggest catfish and the rarest catfish that day. His catfish weighed about eight to ten pounds and the rare catfish was an albino. He was so happy because of that and he rubbed it in my other brother's face. My other brother would tell my littlest brother that he ain't very good at fishing and that all his fish are bigger so it brought my littlest brother a lot of joy laughing at him because he caught nothing near the size of his fish. We had a big fish fry later that night with seasoned french fries and somewhat spicy hush-puppies, it was awesome
