-----Grant Smith #7 Yee Yee This Summer
Whenever I have nothing to do, I love to shoot things, especially snakes. This summer, I would drive to the duck woods and would try to kill as many snakes as possible. Cotton mouths are the main venomous snakes in Arkansas, and they are by far the most aggressive. They are also known as "Water Moccasins" and they tend to hang around water all year long. I probably killed 30 snakes this summer with a gun and I have to say, I am pretty proud. I am starting to wonder if I am Steve Irwins actual son as much as I mess with animals. Anyways, this is good because the snakes can cause harm to other animals that we try to hunt like rabbits and squirrels. I hate snakes and I would kill every one of them if I was given the chance. Other than killing many snakes this summer, I caught many fish as well. Catching fish in the summer is definitely not the easiest thing because you have to battle the weather. The weather in the summer is so unpredictable so it is hard to even plan any trip outside. I love to do anything outside, as long as its not too cold or there are not too many mosquitoes. In the winter, I duck hunt, deer hunt, and will try to kill any animal that is worth eating. I guess that is just the way I am and how I was raised. I never have regrets about who I am and how I live. I love to do things in the outdoors and I plan to make my kids do the same. The outdoors is great because there is so much to accomplish and do. Whether its playing outside sports, hunting and fishing, or doing whatever hobby you might enjoy, it should always be fun to do. If its not fun, then you're probably doing it wrong. This summer I learned that the outdoors can be harmful as well. I nearly killed myself many times this summer just trying to accomplish things that probably didn't need to be accomplished. With that being said, I hope to have many more summers spent outdoors and in the mud.

It makes me feel good knowing that people like us still get out and enjoy the great outdoors. One of my blogs was about camping, and I have to say, I love to see when people my age are still enjoying life outside of social media and video games, even if they are blowing snakes in half.
ReplyDeleteBut the whole, being Steve Irwin's son thing is pretty much the exact opposite of what he stood for, but at I caught your reference. Besides, Irwin does have a son who does the same thing his father once did. Protect the animals of the world from vicious predators like PETA. -Robert
