Hey guys, sorry I haven't been writing about what I said I would write about. I haven't been busy, but I have been out of town without a phone or computer. I will wrap this beginning part up and start telling you about my birthday week and some other crazy stuff that happened!
We arrived in St. Louis around 10pm on Thursday night. We stayed up for a little bit to watch some TV as we were worn out from the drive. I went to bed at midnight, and fell asleep immediately. Then it was Friday. On Friday, they had a surprise for me at the science museum in St. Louis. Every Friday and Saturday, they have gaming competitions for prizes. These games can be all the way from Mario games, to shooter games (two completely different genres). If you know me, you would know that I am a sucker for video games and tournaments of the sort. Me, my sister, and her fiance played Valorant as soon as we got there, and since they don't play video games, I played against them in a 2 versus 1 situation. Surprisingly, her fiance was amazing at the game, and actually placed fourth in the 1 versus 1 tournament they had. Then we decided to play something more simple, which we chose Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I ended up placing first in the tournament for the game, and won a free ride on the Airplane War simulator. If you are wondering what that is, it is pretty hard to control, but easy to understand. First off, you need a partner. Then you need to decide who will be the flyer, and who will be the gunner. I ended up being the pilot, but it was way harder then expected. The machine for the simulator actually does complete barrel rolls. It hurts your head when you go upside-down, because you have to do that to hit some of the planes.
Anyways, I hope you would like to hear more about this trip. I will see you on the next blog post, coming soon to a computer near you.
