You are probably thinking the same thing as me. Wow, Caiden isn't writing more about his birthday. Well, I don't blame you for thinking that. Anyways, lets talk about how I helped at my church's VBS (Vacation Bible School).
On Monday, it was the first night. I was excited to start helping the Worship team with the hand motions to the songs onstage. We were doing all three songs, but unfortunately, I was the only one who knew all the motions. At least they had one person doing everything correctly. Then I first skit as world reknown archeologist and treasure finder, Dr. Daryl Diggingstone. Yeah, I know. What a name to have and a person to play. Anyways, the first night had some technical difficulties, but otherwise, it went perfectly smooth. nice try Satan!
On Tuesday, we pretty much did the same thing as the night before. In fact, I am not going to write about specific days anymore. Just refer back to what happened on Monday to know what happened the rest of the nights. Except for the technical difficulties, those were fixed in a moment's time.
It wasn't the best I could have done, but I at least got a few hugs from some kids as Dr. Diggingstone on the final night. Speaking of the final night, it was family night. The kids brought their parents along and we got up on stage for the hand motions and skit as usual. I did get some "Thank You"s from the parents at the end of the night as well though. I just wish that when the kids got home, no matter what went on in their households, that they remember that they are Priceless to God. That was what the whole week of VBS was about. The learned that, "God Knows You", "God Hears You", "God Comforts You", "God Loves You", and finally, "God Treasures You." Anyways, I am sure that your church had their own VBS. If you don't go to church, that is fine as well. I just hope all of you reading this have a great summer.
