Welcome to the Tour (House Prompt) - Robert Long

Since I was about two years old, I've lived in the same house. And while it may not be a huge mansion, it's still a place I can call home. With a huge plot of land, a   middle-class house, and millions of memories, I recommend sitting down because this could take a minute.
Since early 2004, I've lived out in the same house out in the middle of "nowhere" (it's actually just right outside Lake City city limits). With a frail coat of white paint from the late 1980s, everything seems to blend with one another. Now, let's take a tour. When you walk in, through the front door, you'll be greeted with our living room. Stationed with a couch and two recliners, this is where our largest TV is for late-night movie watching and dreary news binging. This is also the room that my whole family usually sits and talks. Moving on through the doorway directly across from the front door is our dining room. Back when my older brother lived with us, this was the room we all were forced to sit and eat every night. Since his departure, we've slowly leaned away from that, though, so now it's more of a storage area. To the left of the dining room, however, is the kitchen (one of my favorite rooms). With an arrangement of counters, cabinets, and cupboards, there's plenty of room for food, dishes, and even a random assortment of old birthday candles. Through the kitchen, a door leads to the laundry room. Do I really need an explanation for that? Anyway, we need to head back into the dining room to continue our exploration. Through the obnoxiously loud door at the back of the dining room are the bedrooms and two bathrooms. Directly to the right, is a hallway leading to a storage closet, my parent's bedroom, and at the end, a side-door leading outside to a porch. If you decide to advance straight, though, you'll be met with a bathroom on your left, my sister's room even further down, and finally the best room in the whole house, my room. This is where I find my comfort and solitude. Whether I need some work done or just plain enjoyment, my room is usually where I head.
There are a few small buildings outside, but nothing that sticks to the prompt, so they've been left off. But I do want to add that the yard itself also played a major role in my early years as it was the place my brother and I would always find something to do. From practicing baseball to clonking each other over the head with sticks, we made memories in this yard that truly helped (or hurt) my development. Thank you for enduring my tour, and as always, I hope yee enjoyed.
