Ravenswood - Brittany Tucker (#5)

Sofia slipped off her loose t-shirt, leaving her in black athletic shorts and a bright blue sports bra, her hands wrapped like a boxer’s before a fight.
    Physically fit.
That was a great way to describe her.
Toned arms. Tight abs. Slim yet muscular legs.
Yes. Sofia Ward was strong and always moving, having enough speed and stamina to outlast her opponents… most of the time anyway.
She threw a glance back to her partner, Sully Wagner. “Get him outta here, Sully. I’ll handle these guys.”
Sully nodded, dragging Carter away from the scene. He doesn’t put up a fight, letting Sully pull him away. “C’mon, kid. Don’t be so glum. Sofia’s fine. She’s done this a million times. We both have. Besides, you’re a Ravenswood. Folks in your family don’t worry over their protectors’ health.”
Carter sighed, running a hand through his red hair. “You’re right, Sully. I shouldn’t worry. How can you be so calm when your partner could be dying? I mean, those guys looked big and tough
―like they could snap her in half just by looking at her.”
Sully chuckled. “There’s a lot you need to learn about Sofia, kid. She’s a lot stronger than she looks, that’s for sure.” He pointed to the crescent-shaped scar on his whiskery cheek. “See this? She gave me that the day we met.”
Meanwhile, Sofia punched in time with the music streaming through her earbuds. She ducked as one of the guys swung at her, kicking out her leg, knocking him off his feet. His buddy grabbed her from behind, picking her from the ground.
She grunted, elbowing his face and shimmying out of his hold. “You screwed up the rhythm.”
The man chuckled, wiping at his bloody nose. “Too bad, girlie. Your about to get…”
Sofia cut him off, kicking between his legs before quickly turning back to his friend, punching his face hard enough to send him into a nearby brick wall, knocking him out. She turned back the man, seeing anger and fear in his eyes.
“That’s gonna be you in a minute if you don’t leave my client alone,” she pointed to the knocked out guy with her thumb.
The guy frowned, putting his hands in the air in surrender. Sofia sighed, looking around, wiping the light layer of sweat off her forehead. She jogged over to her gym bag, pulling out a notepad and a pen. She wrote a quick note:

We, __________ and __________, will leave Carter Ravenswood and all his associates alone unless we want to get our butts kicked by Sofia Ward… again

She handed the man the notepad, “You and your buddy sign this.”
The man scrolled his signature, handing it back to her. She smirked, looking at the name of the man before another sigh escaped her lips. She reeled her fist back, punching the man’s lights out.
