what in the heck am i gonna do with my life -- karlee sanders
Everyone gets so stressed out about what they should do when they grow up. I think that's normal, because there's a lot at stake when you choose what you want to focus on for the rest of your life. It's a big decision, and there are many resources that you have to put into a decision like that, such as time and money. My parents have always wanted me to do what makes me happy, but for a long time, I wasn't sure what that was supposed to be. They told me I could do anything but become a teacher, which is what I wanted to do for a long time. I flirted with the idea of going into the medical field, and at one time, I wanted to be a paralegal of all things. I have decided now, that I would like to follow in my dad's footsteps, and pursue a career in music. I would like to major in Music Business. I don't know where I'd want to go to college, but I feel like this is the right choice for me. With this degree I can become an artist manager, booking agent, music publisher, copyright specialist, music merchandising or marketing specialist, concert promoter, record producer, telecommunications, venue management, recording studio and production, or a facility manager. I like the thought of being on the business side of music. Out of all of those things, I'd probably like to be a booking agent, artist manager, or a music merchandising/marketing specialist. I think it would be fun to represent an artist and to put them to the top! I've always liked the idea of representing others and helping them be the best that they can be. And, I love music so much. Music is my first love! Being able to be around and help someone produce music is the best of both worlds for me. So, I guess I don't have to be so stressed about what I'm going to do when I grow up. I already have it all planned out and I couldn't be any more excited than I already am.

This is so great, Karlee. I'm still kind of the same way with not really knowing what I want to do when I get older but I think that it's so awesome that you've figured it out. I've always admired you for being so into music and having the singing ability you do. I think you would fit right in in music business. Unlike you, I am so stressed about my future but I know that God has a plan for me and I just need to be patient. Anyway, I know that you are going to do extraordinary things one day and I can't wait to watch and see!

That's great! On the other hand for me, I have no idea what I want to do with my life yet. I have thought about being a orthodontist but, it takes TEN YEARS! I don't know if I want to go that long. But I know it would be worth it. I think that it is great you are following in your dad's footsteps to go into music. Your dad is really good at what he does and I believe that you can be right up there by him. I wish you the best in life!!

I wish I was like you and had everything planned out! I still have no idea what I want to do. I think I want to do something in the medical field, but my mind is bound to change. I feel like you would do an amazing job in the music industry. You are so talented and driven, and I know you will have much success. I can only hope to be able to find something that I am passionate about to do the rest of my life! Anyways, I know you will do great thing! -Hattie

ReplyDeleteI think you would be so good in the music industry, Karlee!! But I am also in the same boat as Hattie when she said she still had no idea what she wanted to do. I have been wanting to become several different things and CANT pick for some reason. Some of the things I've been wanting to become is a Zoologist, veterinarian, paramedic, and a few other things. I don't know which one I intended on fulfilling but hopefully I find out soon enough!! -Angel Cash
ReplyDeleteI think I might know what I want to do in the future. This is only a small part because I have no idea what to do to get there! This is also why I get stressed out like every one else. Like Angel said I could see you being in the music field. I think any one of these jobs would be great to do. Everyday would be different and you would be doing something you love. Doing what you love is the biggest part of your job, otherwise you wouldn't do it well. Whatever you decide I hope you like what you pick!

I can totally relate with you on not being sure about what to do out of high school. When I was a kid I had tons of ideas for my future self, but as one gets older they look at it more seriously. From an older perspective I honestly have no idea what I will be doing in ten years, but I am okay with that. Anyway, I wish you luck in pursuing music and hope you make it big time. ReplyDeleteI can relate to this completely. Most teenagers spend their entire high school career crying, stressing, and searching through websites for their future. Sometimes we tend to live too far into the future, and are not far enough in the present. But I guess it's better than living in the past. I do wish the best for you, and hope the career you choose to pursue will take you to new heights. I love you dearly and I'm ready to see you!!!!
